I never really understood why people remove the crust from sandwhiches or dig the inside of dinner rolls?
I have friends that do it, my kids do it ... but can't explain why.
Does it feel weird when YOU chew, does it taste different, or did it just become some weird tradition after seeing others doing it?
So what do you prefer and why?

Couldn't care less how it is served but I'm not going to fuss over removing the crust or any of that nonsense.

I eat weird. I was told when I was younger I ate too fast. So I started picking the food apart & eating it bit by bit. Case in point: I eat all the crust first, then attack the middle. Oh, don't forget the crust is supposed to make your hair curly. At least that was a tale.

If the crust is like a damn rock, maybe -- no, I'd just throw it out in that case.

The heel of a fresh baked loaf of bread was the prize at the supper table when I was growing up. Fresh bread real butter and a pot of homemade soup. That a meal.

I hate picky eaters.
Any person that doesn't eat an otherwise good part of their meal is a true degenerate and deserves to be dragged onto the street and beaten.

I always eat the crust, especially if it's one of those stuffed crust pizzas.

Back in the day when there were real bakeries that sold only baked goods I would be sent on "spaghetti night" to get a loaf of Italian Bread.
Hot from the oven. Crusty outside with a soft center. PERFECT for sopping up the sauce of the best spaghetti sauce in the world homemade from scratch by my non-Italian Mom.
She never scolded me when not one single solitary loaf ever made it home with the ends intact. My pay for running the errand.
Sandwiches : Crusts. Hard Rolls: May scoop out the center to fit more goodies inside BUT eat the scooped out part right away. Plain. Pizza : Crusts !!! and will eat the parts that at home pizza sharers are silly enough to not want. What do they know ? They eat pizza with a knife and fork. Who ARE these people anyway ?

Sandwiches - leave 'em on. Pizza - I always eat that crunchy part first and then the sauce/meat/cheese are like a tasty reward.

I was thinking pizza not sandwiches with the question... I said no, yet I really don't care. I like that thin crust has become a normal thing... more toppings, less bread tyvm.
