Is he enough to help Turdisky and the Bears and get them closer to the Vikes, Pack and Lions?
Or are they still the bottom of the pack in the division?
Looks like those rumors of him and Grew-Dog not getting along were true all along.

Wow. It certainly doesn’t hurt. Mack and Roquan Smith in Vic Fangio’s defense? They’re building something for sure.

The Bears defense will definitely be better, but the hierarchy in the NFC North will stay the same.

They'll be better but put them on top? We'll see, I doubt it.

I liked the Bears before this move. Nagy has McVay-like upside as a coach. I've liked pretty much all of their moves this offseason: picking up Alan Robinson and Trey Burton in free agency and getting Roquan Smith and Anthony Miller in the draft. NFC North is tough, but I expect real improvement from them.

It should help edge them closer. Matt Patricia has said the Lions needs some serious work if they're to progress and the Vikings have had to made some serious changes. I expect the Packers to be flying high with Aaron Rodgers back in the fold.

Yes, because the Eagles have never made a mistake in player evaluation. Nagy got Burton to play the Travis Kelce-role in Chicago. He's going to be a huge upgrade over what they have been rolling out at tight end since they let Martellus Bennett go . . . possibly the best since Greg Olsen.

We'll wait on this one. Your Eagles-homerism makes talking football with you pointless. But these great Eagles who never make a mistake in player evaluation gave my team their Pro Bowl left tackle - - but of course he couldn't be any good because the Eagles let him go.

Brent Celek who was a staple here for years retired. I thought Burton would step in as the #2 behind Ertz. Not only did they let Burton walk - they traded up in the draft for their 1st pick of the draft to nab a TE Dallas Goedert. Just my humble opinion - I think that speaks volumes of what they thought of Trey Burton. One TE retires and they trade up in the draft to nab another.

I thought that the Raiders were a power last year at this time. Could have gone to the SB the year before if Derek Carr hadn't got hurt. Now they look like crap. O-line has some holes, defense is iffy and God help them if Carr gets hurt. Mack was a player that I thought was a game changer, You don't trade players like of that caliber. Is the Chucky II Era in Oakland going to be a disaster? Are they looking ahead to the Vegas move?
One of the Bills most dopey moves was passing on Mack for Sammy Watkins. Id ever there was a player perfect for the Bills, it was him.

Makes them better but NFC North probably 2nd best division in NFL. Might even them with Lions for 3rd place.

James Harrison was cut three times by the Steelers early in his career. The Ravens picked him up and cut him too. Players develop over time. The Dolphins didn't value Wes Welker and the Patriots made him into a star. I see Burton as ascending. Time will tell.

Attention Bears fans - you got Trey Burton. He is an ok tight end. Nothing terrible about his game but he isn’t Tony Gonzalez or Jimmy Graham. He is not going to propel your offense to Walsh-ian heights. Mack is a great acquisition and will help immensely. Burton is the equivalent of a decent utility infielder. Calm down and enjoy a third place finish. You’re not there yet but probably headed in the right direction.

Attention all: I've Trey Burton as my #1 fantasy TE.
Thus he is doomed to miss 12 weeks on the DL.
Have a nice bratwurst.
Not even lying, I had Jimmy Graham year 1 Seattle where he tore it up for 4yrds receiving & -12,000 looks.
