Just seen this clown slasher film. Its pretty basic. Psycho dressed as a freaky clown kills people on Halloween. The clown (named ART) is actually pretty freaky and is played well. I liked it. Not great but well worth the watch. 6/10

You forgot to mention the only thing that really matters about the movie; It’s gory as fuck and the gore is pretty fucking fantastic.

I liked this for the most part. It's not especially great, but for an old school gory slasher it's the best one in a while.
It also, surprisingly, really nails the retro look and tone. It actually looks like it was shot on film, and that's an approach that is usually screwed up pretty badly with low-budget-shot-on-digital productions.
There are some story turns that work pretty well, and a few moments that are bizarre and out of place just for the sake of being weird, but overall the villain is well portrayed, the tone is exactly right, and the effects are effective. And if I remember correctly it's a pretty brisk runtime.
As a side note, this character also appeared in an anthology from the same director called All Hallow's Eve. It's very uneven, but the 'Art the Clown' segment was the best of the bunch.

Well I finally saw Terrifier for the October Challenge, and I thought it was fairly good. Even though there wasn't really much of a story and there were some routine slasher cliches, it was somewhat enjoyable thanks to much of the dialogue and the extremely creepy clown (really well portrayed; apparently that actor has mime experience, which I believe was a major contributing factor to the performance). And yes, it was incredibly gory. That sequence with the hacksaw was an amazing set piece.

I hated All Hallows Eve, and I can't believe I let my friends rope me into watching another one of these. And it's not even over yet. I would have turned it off if not for the October Horror Challenge.

The clown looks very, very creepy. Great poster too. Hearing that it's uber-gory isn't a selling point for me though, as I'm more into atmospheric horror.

Jenna Kanell reminds me of a young, possibly even hotter, Neve Campbell.

I was really annoyed by the dumb choices made by the victims, I mean hiding in a cupboard FFS! Oddly enough for me - and I am a bit of a coulrophobe - I was more freaked out by the silent bits than the gore sequences. When he is just sitting in the restaurant staring at Jenna Kanell is frightening, also when he is just cycling around in circles on the kiddies bicycle is brilliantly unnerving. Gotta love the selfie, wickedly sick!
