I suppose burning shoes will be good enough for conservatives if they can't find a cross.

For the fucking life of me, I cannot understand why people get so bent out of shape over this. Big God damned deal, they take a knee. If the players turned their backs or covered their heads, I might see some reason for outrage. Isn't this country built on protest, whether you agree or not? And if you don't agree, people shitting themselves over it just brings it to the forefront. I do love how people think that because you make money, you should be more patriotic. "Hey, you made six figures, stifle your political feeling. Make seven figures, conform."

They already paid for them. Nike already has their money, of which at least three pennies per item goes to the overseas sweat shop worker for their weekly slave wages. So what's the point? They are only hurting themselves.

Were they smart enough to do this dumb thing by taking them off their feet first?

To be fair, pointing out his record as the end-all, be-all to the exclusion of everything else (as you've done) is merely admitting that you are ignoring literally every other stat that exists for pitchers and focusing on one that really means nothing. Tunnel vision to the extreme. It's like saying Gregg Jefferies had a better year in 1993 than Barry Bonds because Jefferies hit .342 and Bonds hit .336.

Whatever it takes to get people to stop buying a product made in overseas sweatshops at slave wages is good enough for me.

Why, because he took a stand for something he believes in? And don't pretend it hasn't killed his career. He's not John Unitas but he's a damn sight better than many, many QB's who are on rosters. EJ Manuel and Geno Smith drew paychecks last year. Think he couldn't contend for a starting job in Buffalo?

actually, he took a knee. not a stand. he's an idiot. a fool. a schmo. because he never stated what, exactly, he wants. just vague end police brutality, which is good, but no concrete goals. it's stupid, guaranteed to fail. if complete failure and rejection is a sign of caring, i think you have a warped sense of values. i don't value those things as being good. overall, i find this praising people for not doing something (taking a knee, boycotting nike--it's on both sides) and treating it as an accomplishment just hilariously lame. i mean you can not do something but it's not an accomplishment. but..if it is, well, thusly: i will hereby declare to the imdb board i will not be running for governor of California because...they are mean to people from the east coast! yay! send me money, build me a statue for my bravery...for not doing something. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) does that help you see how asinine this stuff is?

Time for you to lay off the cooking sherry. i listen. need objective goals. not just subjective claims. what does he want? 30% reduction of police complaints by 2020? every non-white person making $50,000 a year? i don't have a problem with that. state stuff. objective stuff. i work in finance, i have clients come in and say i want x amount of money for my retirement. that's how i work, if they come in say i want to 'feel listened to' or 'have a voice in finance' subjective claim---i have zero clue how to make that happen. and it will not happen.

Seems a bit mental... Give them to a charity shop (thrift store), or give them to a homeless person if you no longer want them. Freaks. Never owned Nike daps myself. More terrace culture, Adidas three stripes on the old plates. Thatβs what I thought. Considering the majority of these nuts have a rather large gun in one hand, and a well thumbed bible in the other - youβd think charity would be high on their list of priorities, being good christians and all, and the fact they could walk half a mile in any direction and find a poor white person in need.....
