The more idiotic the reactions to this by “conservatives” the more oxygen he gets.

I don't know anybody who has or would do that. My guess is, like with most things, this is a report about a very small number of very stupid people doing something very stupid that happen to get an inordinate amount of very stupid coverage and a very stupid response from another group of very stupid people.

From Steve Prefontaine to this loser. Nike sure has lost the plot.

I think this is also Nike’s way of saying “Go fuck your self sideways” to our fearless leader, in which case, I’ll buy 10 pairs.

Seems a bit mental... Give them to a charity shop (thrift store), or give them to a homeless person if you no longer want them. Freaks.
Never owned Nike daps myself. More terrace culture, Adidas three stripes on the old plates.

I don’t know anyone who’s done it, but I’m not surprised conservative, free speech hating idiots are doing so.

No one. That would be dumb, in my opinion. Still, this campaign will lose Nike money. I am 100% positive of that. Regardless of your views on the issue, it is business 101 to never take a stance on a political issue. They automatically alienate half of their customer base.

I liked it when people were destroying their Keurig machines. I wonder how many of them turned around a few weeks later and bought new ones.

Wasn’t there some kind of cooler or chest that ended their affiliation with the NRA, so gun nuts would GO TO THE STORE AND BUY THESE COOLERS so they could post YouTube videos of themselves shooting them? I’d laugh if they weren’t so fucking pathetic.

It's popular among campers and hunting enthusiasts which lends itself to an NRA affiliation I guess. I have a Coleman cooler that I bought at BJs, it holds 30 gallons and cost me about $25. I fill it with ice and beer and it stays cold for 72 hours while sitting out in the searing sun. Take that, Yeti!!

Does this dipshit look like he buys NIKE gear? ![](http://journalofdoubt.net/jodwp/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/Trump-Supporter-550x300.jpg)

Aside from 'Political' or 'Spiritual' reasons. There are a few things WRONG with Nike doing this ad campaign.
1. They are implying Kap isn't in the NFL because of his stance on the anthem protest. That isn't true. He was cut, just like Tebow and Johnny Mainzel. He doesn't fit into the NFL style QB.
2. He isn't a current athlete. Why not give a deal to a real player?
3. Why risk losing money on something like this?

Does this dipshit look like he buys NIKE gear? ![](http://journalofdoubt.net/jodwp/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/Trump-Supporter-550x300.jpg) I live in the Southeastern part of the United States.
Everyone wears Nikes. Even white, conservative, rednecks. In fact, they don't say 'sneakers' in the south, they pretty much say, "I'm going to wear my Nikes'.
Now, they may not be wearing Nike Jackets, hoodies, or tight slim fit sweats, but they buy their 100 dollar shoes all the time, and HATS. Loks of Hats in the south.
So you may think the stereotype is they don't, but they do. And how many rich conservatives live in the south and wear Nike gear to Golf clubs and tennis matches? Your narrow-minded thinking is just as bad as a backwards redneck who is racist.

3. Why risk losing money on something like this? 1. He was cut for his anthem stance. He led SF to a Super Bowl appearance and an NFC Championship game. If you’re saying that a team like Buffalo or Arizona or whoever else wouldn’t start him right now as their drafted QBs learn the game, you don’t know football. There aren’t 32 quality QBs in the league right now, let alone 2nd and 3rd stringers. It’s purely politics. 2. He is an athlete, just not on a current roster. 3. Nike is a smart company that’s been successful forever. They have Kaepernick endorse their products, among others who does that appeal to? The other athletes they’re trying to recruit for marketing purposes. I actually think Nike is sincere in letting Kaepernick be a face for the brand but it’s about money too and in the long run it will be worth it.

If that is the case, then why are hundreds of Football players doing it and not getting cut?
2. If he's not on a roster, he's not an athlete anymore than you or I.
3. There have been plenty of smart/successful companies that make mistakes (K-Mart, Toys R Us, Blockbuster) who aren't what they used to be, or dead.
