Your body is made up of water and not sports drinks. And guess what. The losing team also drinks Gatorade. So it does not help you perform any better than you are as talented as you are at sports.

Oh man, you're totally right. [Dumps out huge cooler of gatorade, sells all personal belongs, burns house down]
Thanks for the insight!

I'm going to print this out and put on the fridge, right where everyone can see it. Good job, little man! Give me 5!

I don't know if it improves performance, but in my experience Gatorade hits the spot (so to speak) much better than plain water after working out and sweating. Under other conditions however (not after working out), I find it is nearly undrinkable.

I find it ridiculous and silly at how god is thanked only in certain situations when it was the player and only the player who did it all. I'll use baseball as an example. Player hits a home run and looks and points to the sky just before crossing home plate in a "Thank you God," gesture. Same player hits a deep fly ball that gets caught just at the wall. Nothing even though that same god helped the other player catch it. Now isn't that something? You never see a player on defense thanking their god. Only when the offense scores points. So God helps with the home run but not with the deep catch where it is all on the player who made it.

Thanks for the newsflash. Next you’ll be telling us that the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park weren’t real, they were just computer-generated images.

Thanx a lot for crushing that reality for me, pal.

It still helps with thirst. Ever heard of electrolytes?

It still helps with thirst. Ever heard of electrolytes? Of course. It's what plants crave!
