Only really liked the first one. Part two was just too grim. Only seen parts of AVP. EDIT: Rats, I forgot about Predators (2010). That sounds detrimental but looking back, I didn't find it terrible. I liked Adrien Brody in the lead better than most it seems.

The first Predator film is the best. I watched a short documentary on the making of it and I was not surprised to find out McTiernan did not direct that campground attack early in the film. I have always felt that was the weakest link in the film, it was so poorly directed. The second unit directed it and it so out of place with the rest of the film. That's the only reason I give this film a 9/10 instead of a 10/10. Overall, the film holds up incredibly well.
The second film is still pretty good, all things considered. It's missing the star power of Arnold but Glover does a decent job and I though Busey stole every scene. I'd give it around a 6 or 7/10.

While I love the original film and consider it one of my favorite action/monster movies, I unfortunately have to say the rest of the series is a mixed bag.
Predator 2 is a fun guilty pleasure. It lacks the characters of the original, but has some fun action and gory thrills.
Predators was watchable, but not something I want to revisit.
The Predator was very disappointing.
Both the AVP films are terrible. AVP2 felt like an amateur student project (what's with the terrible lighting?) that somehow got into theaters.
