Always remember 1991 being a good year for albums.
Looking back on various magazine polls (NME, Melody Maker, Rolling Stone, SPIN etc) I've picked the ones that seem to appear in Top 10 lists multiple times.
It seems My Bloody Valentine, Massive Attack, Teenage Fanclub, REM and Primal Scream appeared regularly in UK polls (Nirvana did top one)
Nirvana, REM and U2 regularly in US polls (though Teenage Fanclub topped one)
Which 2 of these do you like best?

MBV and TFC. Primal Scream would be a close third from the ones listed
Also worth mentioning Slowdive and Slint

Well, three of my Top 5 are on this list, so there's that... 1. Massive Attack- Blue Lines 2. Slint - Spiderland 3. My Bloody Valentine- Loveless 4. Slowdive- Just for a day 5. REM- Out of Time
Some more from a pretty good year: The Jesus Lizard - Goat TAD - 8-Way Santa Nation of Ulysses- 13 point program to destroy America Superchunk- No pocky for kitty Fugazi- Steady diet of nothing Cows - Peacetika Pixies- Trompe le monde

Queen - Innuendo
Rush - Roll the Bones
Innuendo is a fantastic record - shame about the songs left off the album unfinished, they would have made better additions than 'Delilah' and 'All God's People'.

Top 40 World-Wide Albums (1991)..... Interesting list, but not sure what relevance it has to the poll question asked

Top 40 World-Wide Albums (1991)..... Interesting list, but not sure what relevance it has to the poll question asked Maybe by noting that the Metallica, G n R, and MJ albums are all top 5 and above most of choices given, at least by international charts.

But the poll isn't about sales. It's about the albums that appeared consistently in the Top 10 Best Polls for the year (from the polls that were available to me)

Well, I don't care. Nothing on the whole list I would vote for instead of Nevermind or Out of Time.

Just pretend it never happened.
