Good list petrolino , I always wondered why Burt skipped Smokey 3, except for his brief cameo. Looking back at it now, it's a not so politically correct with all those KKK guys running around. Not racist, but just not something done for comedy nowadays.

Some of these films are by directors I like generally - Robert Aldrich, Woody Allen, Mel Brooks, Robert Altman, Norman Jewison, Joseph Sargent, John Boorman, Peter Bogdanovich, Paul Thomas Anderson. I've picked up a few others here and there and I love a good Burt actioner. Not sure if I still have a copy of 'Stick' but I think I do somewhere, so I went ahead and listed it. Someone gave me a copy of 'Mystery, Alaska' which was nice.

Funny thread! Nobody seems to have seen this Missing link adventure, it had a big ambitious budget, and was made on/in Samoa and Papua New Guinea.

Yesterday I picked up Deliverance in the cheapo bin at Walmart, ever notice when a movie star dies, the cheapo bin suddenly fills up with their old movies? Same thing happened when Robin Williams died, but it does allow you to get them when you want them, and cheap. Anyway, watched it last night, still a gripping adventure tale, those locals cast as locals were perfect, from the banjo boy to the dancing gas station attendant. Bill McKinney was cemented as one of the all-time scariest movie villains as the hillbilly rapist. Beautiful scenery, plenty of tension, great acting. Burt's finest movie, as he would tell you himself.
