Don't know if any of you are in it's path, i hope you are all safe! Luckily... for me, anyways... it's suppose to be dipping south as it hits the mainland... So, it's not going to be the 'direct hit' that it originally said to be... Granted, right now, the wind is really starting to pick up. |

Don't know if any of you are in it's path, i hope you are all safe! Richmond, Virginia: light intermittent rain, calm winds. I've seen much more wind and rain here when there is no hurricane. The last storms that gave me any trouble were Gaston and Isabel. Gaston was not a hurricane long before it reached Richmond, but it "stalled" over Richmond and kept raining in one place causing some flooding problems, a few impassable streets. I'm sorry, I forgot about an area of Richmond called "Shockoe Bottom" that is much lower than the rest of the city. They might have had all sorts of trouble from Gaston. I did not have to go through there. I live far above it. |

The storm that we had last Sunday was much worse. Yeah, but... Shockoe Bottom floods when too many people flush the toilet at the same time. |
