Since I'm making it today, I thought I'd post my recipe for Fattoush. For those that don't know what it is, it's a Lebanese salad, and my favourite of all salads.
Ingredients: (I haven't put a specific amount as it's according to individual taste)
purslane (or lettuce if you can't find purslane, though for me, it's this that makes the salad special) red radish tomato cucumber onion mint leaves (some add pomegranate seeds, I don't. Basically the dish is versatile and you can add whatever you want to the mix)
chop up all of the above (not too finely) and put in a bowl; toss
dressing: (to taste) olive oil garlic (crushed) lemon juice sumac salt
Mix all together; add to the salad just before serving then toss
1 Lebanese flat bread: cut into small squares, fry or toast until crisp, then sprinkle on top of salad, or keep separate and add as wanted
