I give it a 7 just for being interestingly weird. Not one I would watch again however it is funny about Malkovich and I wish they had a camera on him when they first told him about the idea.
There is a 1973 horror film Nothing But the Night with a similar plot (but no, John Malkovich is not involved).
I could not recognize Cameron Diaz.

Really? I thought practically everyone saw "Get Out"? Well... you should definitely give it a watch when you get the chance.
