A friend got courtesy tickets. Apparently they are for a lounge of some sort and include food and beverages. Fun, I haven't seen a Habs game in years.

'Habs' is the nickname of Montreal's (ice) hockey team.

It comes from the French 'les habitants' (the habitants), which apparently was a way that French Canadians used to refer to themselves a long time ago.

Regular concessions offering hot dogs, pizza slices, poutine, smoked meat sandwiches, soft drinks all for free. For beer you have to pay.

Don't tell any Leafs fan, but I have a feeling it is my fault that they haven't won the Stanley Cup in half a century - ever since I was born, in fact! It can't be a coincidence...
