This is a short video. Father touched on it briefly, that being that a priest is "In persona Christi". To call a Papal change "enlightened" defeats the character of Roman Catholicism.

No need. What the video failed to explain was (a key term in the Catholic Church) the so-called "Deposit of Faith". The teachings contained in this depository (for example, that priests must be men) are the things the Church says it has no authority to change. So, it CANNOT be changed, even by a Pope.Oh, don't mention it. I'm sure I'll be saying something disrespectful in due time. |
