I am still waiting for a 6th installment. I absolutely adore this movie series and have watched them in theaters since FD3.

The 6th installment should be good. What I like about this series is that it has a unique plot.

I've seen the first and second movies. Amusing horror films with hilariously elaborate sequences and high body counts.

I would like to see a 6th FD movie. The series is a guilty pleasure of mine, with the 3rd being my favourite. My ranking of those movies: FD3 - My favourite 'disaster' with the roller coaster (also the DVD has the best special features/director's commentary IMO), also Mary Elizabeth Winstead is probably the best actress (next to Ali Larter) to appear in a FD movie. FD - I remember this being good, but I rewatched it recently and I think the formula was perfected in 3. FD5 - Has some of the best deaths of the entire series. I also enjoyed the ending. FD2 - Some very creative deaths, I don't why but this one never really clicked with me as much as the ones above it, although I love the ladder scene. FD4 - Haven't seen it since release, I remember it being OK.

I didn't like FD4 very much. It's good for mindless garbage, but it lacks the spirit and energy of the others. It's very much like a parody of itself. FD3 is a perfect standalone, whereas 1, 2, & 5 work well together as a trilogy.

It would be interesting if the 6th or 7th if they make another, were to be set in a different time period.

Someone did a trailer with that idea in mind

That just doesn't work. For one thing, the victims must be people we can relate to, and it's difficult to relate to Frodo.

For me, the scariest--and most realistic--calamity was #2's logging truck disaster. I live in New England and can't tell you how many times I've been behind trucks with timber piled high upon them. I always keep my distance, just in case one of those logs comes loose--because it COULD happen!

I agree, I wasn't a fan of this idea, but at this point, I will take anything.
I wouldn't mind it being set in a more relate-able time period like the 60s or 70s. They could make it be about Tony Todd's mortician character when he was younger.

I love the concept of this franchise, and I have enjoyed all the films...
But, I really hope the drop the constant Flight 180 connections and do something "new".
People have been having premonitions for centuries. as someone else noted, perhaps a movie done in a different time period would be good.
Some people had premonitions about Titanic sinking... How about American Airlines Flight 191? Many people had premonitions about that flight.
Or would starting a fictional movie with escaping a real tragedy upset too many people?

I think using a real tragedy that happened in the last 50 years would be disrespectful to those who lived through it and can remember it. They also won't do another plane crash since it was done in Final Destination 1 and 5 . I wouldn't mind a spin on Titanic, but that may piss off James Cameron.

I became a fan just before the third one came out.

One of the only modern horror franchises I actually enjoy. They should really make a Part 6, with the opening accident at a water park, which would be awesome.

The fourth movie really is the odd one out. It's just not as good as the rest. I remember that was the one marketed as "THE" end of the series. Thankfully it did not end on that low note.
