Not really a scandal, but I like reading about damn near anything related to Mickey Mantle. The guy was a hell of a player and just lived a rather interesting life under the assumption he was going to die younger. He'd play games drunk or massively hung over. Just didn't take care of his body at all. Just imagine had he done so, he could have been the undeniable best player of all time. I also really love the 61* movie done by Billy Crystal.
