By inadvertently I mean not at the death of the person who died. I mean when your mind wanders as it might sometimes during a long speech or ceremony. You remember something totally unrelated to your surrounding and have a short, low distracted giggle or laugh.

No, I never did that, but I sympathized with Mary in the "Chuckles Bites the Dust" episode.

Once, a clown was crushed by an elephant, and I was the only one not laughing before the funeral, and I couldn't believe how cold hearted the others were, just cause the clown was dressed like a peanut.
But then the funeral started, and they all got quiet, and for some reason, I began to laugh.

My dad's funeral... My brother and I could not stop laughing... Granted, I was legitimately sad beyond reason.. but, I had to play it off like I was sobbing hysterically. It was a very Catholic funeral... and Jesus Christ, when they had this choir singing a song that sounded like it came from the animated Hobbit movie.. I couldn't help it.

You remember something totally unrelated to your surrounding and have a short, low distracted giggle or laugh. Not that I recall...but then, I've not been to that many funerals. That reminds me of the funeral scene in the movie Elizabethtown where the device to lower the coffin was malfunctioning and it kept sticking, then suddenly dropping the casket, then sticking. The widow, played by Susan Sarandon, laughs self-consciously. I know, that's not exactly what you were talking about since she was laughing at something that was happening.
