I'd like to try a number of breakfast cereals from the first few decades of the 20th century: Are there any historical foods you'd like to try?

The miraculous "bread of heaven, Manna but what topping would ever be worthy of going on it?
And if I grilled it with cheese? would I be committing a sacrilege?
Then is the first loaf free? and only temptation after that?
Would it be crass to ask for a healing tankard of beer? and some divinely salted pretzels?
And do you think it was a funny joke that it took 40 days and 40 nights just to slice it?
How about a Coca Cola before they removed the good stuff almost as good as Ambrosia.
You could probably eat the first Twinkie ever made, in fact it will probably be just as fresh a thousand years from now.

the roma cookery of apicius has some interesting recipes. wouldn't mind trying the sea urchins in wine sauce. Or the flamingo roasted with honey. the rosehip and calves brain custard might be interesting.

...I'd love to try the food served at "The Peasant Wedding" (painting by Pieter Bruegel - 1568)

Ancient Sumerian and Egyptian beer. It's as organic as it gets!
