Looks like it will suffer from the same problems as BvS. Too many plot lines at once Batman searching for Aquaman Something to do with Atlantis Meeting the Flash Meeting Cyborg Superman returning Super duper evil villain plot And a bunch of action scenes Aquaman looks cool though The trivia section on IMDb says this is going to be 3 hours long. Can anyone confirm that? No one can confirm what the runtime is as of now, because the movie is still being edited. There haven't been any official statements at the moment in regards to how long the film is supposed to be.

I think that people forget who is directing this movie: Zack Snyder. You either love him or you hate him. DC took a gamble with him, considering the only movie he's made that's not totally polarizing is 300. 50% of people will love it. 50% will hate it. That won't change. Snyder will NEVER compromise his style.

If someone isn't willing to change despite their approach not wielding acceptable results, they're either insane or dumb, or both.

Like brownstones said, if he doesn't have a good script, then he fails. That's why DC hasn't been especially kind to him. I do think he needs to change his style a bit just so he can fit these movies in better with the feel of classic DC.

The trailer is fine, I especially like Flash & Batman scene. The tone is alright, very Snyder style. I'm okay with the Snyder visual style as long as the substance is there. JL is a team-up with so many introduction, the story should be fine.

I too, actually, find Goyer to be the main problem with DC right now. He seemed pretty good with TDK Trilogy, which earned him his "street cred", but now it's obvious that Nolan was what made that trilogy great, not Goyer. I find it hard to believe that Terrio is responsible for some of those awful script choices in BvS. Goyer might need to take a seat. It could empower Snyder as well, who I still believe has a good movie or two left in him.

It looks boring. You can feel the group think when you watch it. "People thought the previous entries were too dark, let's add humor!" But the jokes fall flat, at least for me. To be fair I wasn't expecting much because Batman and Wonder Woman are the only characters in this flick that I find interesting; the rest are lame to begin with. I'll wait for trailer two before I decide to go see it.
I thought BvS had some enjoyable moments but was terrible overall. What I find concerning is that the best part of BvS for me was this insane version of Bruce that they seem to have gone away from here. I mean they had to or the movie simply wouldn't work, but still. I'm excited about Wonder Woman, but if that movie ends up sucking, I highly doubt I'll give JL a shot.

I get why they're trying to hold back on Superman, after all he's "dead". But since we all KNOW he's coming back, I was hoping that there would be at least a hint of that in this trailer, like maybe they just show Superman's symbol in there somehow(?). Also, a hint of Green Lantern would be welcome.
I'm sure they're just trying to manage expectations, and I'm sure there will be more (and better) trailers before the movie comes out in November, but I certainly hope this comes closer to being a bigger, bolder movie that what this particular trailer indicates.

Perhaps you didn't notice, but there is a hint in the trailer. There's a shot of Lois Lane looking up in the sky. I think we can be fairly certain she's not looking at a bird or a plane.

I quit paying attention to anything relating to behind-the-scenes after BvS had me wanting to wring someone's neck. Unfortunately, this is still Snyder and the incompetent executives at WB Terrio's being filtered through, so there may still be a couple of obstacles between Terrio and a good final product.

So far as I know, Chris Terrio is the only writer this time. We'll have to wait and see.

The visuals look horrendous. I mean, appalling horrendous. I really despise that deliberately cartoonish look. The green screen stuff looks so fake. And the excessively dark color grading only makes it worse.

Snyder will NEVER compromise his style. his look is his look, just get him a good script is all. Problem with Snyder's "look" is that a scene that should only be 5 seconds long can easily be elongated to 30 seconds with slow motions, flashbacks, different angle shots, etc. Longer shots means less time to get story in. So no matter how good the script is, if Snyder doesn't reign in his visual-extravaganza inclinations the story will still suffer.

It's not enough that Snyder has to ruin characters I love, he has to ruin the Beatles now too.

I liked it. DC is good at trailers. As for the film itself, I'll just have to wait and see.
