I was already aware of all this. Then it seems strange that you would say "And they do "graduate" or perhaps "matriculate" to something "higher" which is a scientific law. That's, from what I understand, a theory that appears to be so air tight that it has survived hundreds of years of testing and still has not been proven false" when it's the complete opposite of that. I didn't have the patience to dissect. A theory, at its bare bones, is something that explains. A theory can be whatever you want it to be. It can be simple or complex, it can be right or wrong.
A law is a theory that has survived long standards of testing.
I have spoken to multiple academics and professors and they agree with my sentiment.

A law is a theory that has survived long standards of testing. This is very weird. You're telling me that you understand what I said and seem to agree... and then you're saying the exact opposite. No a law is NOT a theory that has survived long standards of testing. Not at all. I described what a law is, and it's not that. A law is a description of how an aspect of nature behaves. A theory is an explanation of why. Laws can be part of theories, but theories never, ever become laws. If that is true then you need to get better professors who know what they're talking about. Because if they agree with what you said, they are flat wrong.

My political orientation is that I do not align with mainstream conservatives or liberals. I have hatred for politicians and political parties and I have never voted in an election.
Note- I am just eager to know about your views on different topics. I wouldn't start a debate of right or wrong with any of you. This isn't a politics or religion board. It's more of an avenue to know each other. I am fine with knowing your opinions for the purpose of this thread and won't debate the ethics involved.
1. Abortion - I am pro-choice.
2. Gun Laws - I am for stricter gun laws like in Australia.
3. Homosexuality - I believe homosexuals should not be denied of any right that is available to non-homosexuals. They should not be denied any kind of secular service. That said I do not believe a Church should be forced to marry them (not that I have ever known such a case).
4. Transgenders - I am totally OK with transgenders and recognize them as such.
5. Evolution - Evolution is a fact and common descent explains that.
6. Anthropogenic global warming - Yes, it is real and we need to be careful in our activities. We should minimise pollution. Governments should do more about it.
Orientation - Moderate to Liberal which likely makes me more Democrat 1. Technically pro-choice although I think abortion is a truly disgusting practice that should die out by lack of demand as opposed to legal means 2. Anti-gun. I would be perfectly fine with no one being allowed to own them for protection, but realize it's a right. I see nothing that indicates there should be variety in gun styles though so assault rifles should be banned 3. While I think gay people should have equal rights, I also think religions have the right to define their behavior as sinful. Societal rights trumps the religious, but the religious should never be compelled to agree with that stance if they don't want to. 4. I have no issues with transgenders although I think special care should be taken with kids who are dealing with it. 5. I have no issue with evolution but abiogenesis is garbage science. 6. Global warming is real.

What is your political orientation and where do you stand on these issues? Libertarian
1. Abortion - I am pro-choice.
2. Gun Laws - Pro Second Amendment 100%.
3. Homosexuality - I don't care who fucks who or what.
4. Transgenders - Don't care what people do as long as it doesn't hurt anybody else.
5. Evolution - Evolution is a fact and common descent explains that. This of course.
6. Anthropogenic global warming - It's happening and it's our fault but we wont do much about it because actually lowering pollution would costtoo much money and politicians only look at short term problems.

I'm not affiliated with any political party and doubt I ever will be.
1. I'm not pro-choice or anti-abortion. I despise the classic liberal arguments supporting abortion. Shut up with your "my body my choice" crap. Unless you are willing to raise children by yourself, get out of here with your it's "all about me" bullet points. Abortion should not be illegal, but it's tacky and gross the way the left uses it to rile up its base. It's in no danger of being outlawed and you've got people complaining the sky is falling every time a Republican wins election.
2. People not in law enforcement should only be allowed to own guns that only a limited amount of ammunition. Nothing that requires a clip. Background checks should be run on every person who purchases a gun. Former servicemembers should not be allowed to keep their military grade weapons.
3. I am a gay rights supporter.
4. Mental illness.
5. I support and believe in the theory of evolution.
6. Shouldn't be common sense that pollution affects the environment? If you have a creek behind your house and use it as your own private dumpster, it's going to become polluted over time. The same thing is true on a larger scale. You publish it into the oceans, dig holes in the earth and throw crap into it, or pump stuff into the air, it's only a matter of time before you start to suffer the consequences.

And that other doctors do the same thing. Meaning you're wrong. How am I wrong? You said people do not amputate healthy limbs. They do. Thus, wrong. Don't try to worm out of it by pretending that you're right if it's rare, not generally accepted, etc. Man up, grow a pair, and admit that you were wrong. Or do you have too much ego invested in it to be honest?

I have already told you that multiple professors from different institutions with PhDs tell me I am right.
You think you're more right than all of them? You really got some nerve trashing a bunch of educated people you've never met.

Oh, and I don't think I ever answered the OP questions.
1. Abortion - I am very strongly pro-choice and support a woman's right to choose in almost all circumstances. I accept the time limits placed on abortion as a reasonable compromise, though I don't personally agree with it. I think that in a healthy society abortion would be easily and widely available. And very, very rare. 2. Gun Laws - I think it should be illegal for any civilian to own a gun or ammunition unless they can show pressing need for one.
3. Homosexuality - When it comes to other people, who sticks what into who isn't something I concern myself with if all involved are consenting adults in private. Homosexual people should have the same right to marry and have the social benefits thereof as anybody else.
4. Transgenders - More or less same as above. If you want to identify as a woman, feel free; it doesn't hurt me any. And I really don't give a damn who uses what bathroom, either. That whole thing is one of the most absurd invented nontroversies in the history of mankind. Men and women can share bathrooms for all I care, what does it matter?
5. Evolution - That evolution happens is a fact. That it is best explained by the Theory of Evolution is also a fact. By all means teach creationism in schools - I encourage that. You don't even have to engage in the invented lie of "intelligent design" to get it in there. But teach it where it belongs, in the comparative religion class. Not where it doesn't belong, in the science class.
6. Anthropogenic global warming - Again, another fact. And we should face up to the fact that we're not going to do anything meaningful about it, because long term planning is just not something humans usually engage in. Our great great grandkids are going to absolutely despise us as a bunch of selfish assholes. And they'll be right, because we are. Mind you, they probably will be too.
That said, getting out of the fossil fuel business is just good sense. The current alternatives are nice and all, but I personally think we'll crack fusion before much longer. About a decade after we decide to stump up the money, actually.

Or do you have too much ego invested in it to be honest? People do all kinds of weird stuff. Indeed. You didn't say it's not standard medical practice, you said it didn't happen. Don't change what you said after the fact. But not every. Which means you're wrong. Yeah, I figured you for a nutless wonder. Should paint a big yellow streak down the chest of that avatar, it would better represent you then. Ta ta. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

My political orientation is that I do not align with mainstream conservatives or liberals. I have hatred for politicians and political parties and I have never voted in an election.
Firstly, I also think all politicians, no matter what party, are crooked. But we MUST vote. If we don't that's how you get morons like Trump. That being said I lean liberal in most issues because I honestly believe that party cares more about people than does the other. The other cares more about money.
1. Abortion - I am pro-choice. I don't like the idea of abortions, but I think the choice has to remain with women. Who is anyone else to tell a woman what do with her body and her life? No one but the individual should make choices about their own body and life. Now, if you want to educate women about what they're doing then that's different. But it should NOT be forced on them or be made a law. That's fascist.
2. Gun Laws - I am for stricter gun laws. That doesn't mean talking away guns. It means preventing guns from getting into the hands of criminals and the mentally ill. If you're neither of those then you shouldn't worry about stricter gun control. I don't see the problem.
3. Homosexuality - I believe homosexuals should not be denied any rights that are available to heterosexuals. They put in to society the same way we all do and should be treated equally. We tax them equally dont we? However, I do not believe any church should be forced to acknowledge them or marry them. That's why there is a separation of church and state. So that the church cannot tell us what do, and we cannot tell the church what to do. Its for the best.
3.1. Religions - IMO they should go the way of the dinosaur. But I respect your choice to worship and believe if you choose. I just don't see a need for any of them.
4. Transgenders - I am totally OK with transgenders and recognize them as such. They don't bother me and I don't bother them. That's between them, their loved ones, and their doctors.
5. Evolution - Evolution is a fact and is scientifically proven. It does not offend me to think that my ancestors were from Africa or may have looked like cavemen.
6. Global warming - Of course its real and we need to be careful. We should minimise pollution. Governments should do more about it. And this isn't even a political agenda, even though its been turned into one. Its just common fucking sense that pollution is bad to people and the land, and that we shouldn't pollute. PERIOD! What else is there to discuss?
7. Government and politicians should be in the business of helping people. Not helping themselves stay in power, or helping rich people stay rich. WE vote them to to help us not to screw us.

So you just admitted that you argue just to be a dick. Nope. My general rule is that I treat people the way people treat me. He threw an insult, he got an insult. It's not an ideal situation, but at least there is balance.

Nope. My general rule is that I treat people the way people treat me. He threw an insult, he got an insult. It's not an ideal situation, but at least there is balance. Nonsense. I threw no insult. Show me what you consider an insult? You called me a troll. See your post above, which I responded to by calling you a nutless coward. And if you're going to try "but that's just a statement of fact, you are a troll" then it's just as true that you are indeed a nutless coward. Yeah, it's already been established that you want to try and pretend you said something other than you did because you can't or won't admit that you're wrong. You don't need to keep on doing it, though I imagine you will anyway.

All ethical stances, ethical justifications are ultimately just the way an individual feels about what behavior should be acceptable or not. yes, and I am interested in what you feel and think about it so that i may expand my knowledge. yours is a very interesting opinion that i have not come across before. care to humor me?
