My political orientation is that I do not align with mainstream conservatives or liberals. I have hatred for politicians and political parties and I have never voted in an election.
Note- I am just eager to know about your views on different topics. I wouldn't start a debate of right or wrong with any of you. This isn't a politics or religion board. It's more of an avenue to know each other. I am fine with knowing your opinions for the purpose of this thread and won't debate the ethics involved.
1. Abortion - I am pro-choice.
2. Gun Laws - I am for stricter gun laws like in Australia.
3. Homosexuality - I believe homosexuals should not be denied of any right that is available to non-homosexuals. They should not be denied any kind of secular service. That said I do not believe a Church should be forced to marry them (not that I have ever known such a case).
4. Transgenders - I am totally OK with transgenders and recognize them as such.
5. Evolution - Evolution is a fact and common descent explains that.
6. Anthropogenic global warming - Yes, it is real and we need to be careful in our activities. We should minimise pollution. Governments should do more about it.

1. Abortion - I am pro-choice.
2. Gun Laws - I support the right to bear arms, in the case of clean backgrounds.
3. Homosexuality - homosexuals deserve equal rights to heterosexuals.
4. Transgenders - I don't quite believe the arguments from the TG community, but I support their right to do with their bodies as they see fit.
5. Evolution - is a fact.
6. Anthropogenic global warming - is real.

I don't give a crap about politics. I only care about what is right and what is wrong. The top 4 aren't even issues... They are things that shouldn't even need to be debated in the first place (except for one aspect of #4). Where you stand on them is obvious for people who are decent human beings. It is evil. Anyone for it should be ashamed of themselves. Anyone who administers them or has them done on themselves or if a mother forces a daughter if they are considered a minor to get one should be put on death row. There needs to be far stricter gun laws, and automatic weapons need to be banned completely. Also a buyback for all existing guns. What about it? Homosexuality is just another type of sexuality like Heterosexuality. What "issue" is there that needs to be discussed? If they want to do it then that's fine and they have every right to. The only "issue" if any, is really young people choosing to have it done before they are at an appropriate age to make that decision. So the only thing that should be discussed is an age requirement in getting it done. Whether it should be like 16, 18 or 21 I don't know, but that's something that should be discussed. I don't see how this is an "issue" at all. What does the origin of humans have anything to do with how we live in modern society? Finally a serious issue. It's probably true. Wouldn't surprise me. People need to learn to stop treating the planet like crap. And it will only get worse as we continue to overpopulate the planet.

Political orientation - Disillusioned with the lot of them. They're all a bunch of useless wankers.
1. Abortion - Ultimately, it's a woman's body, so it's a woman's choice. However, I hope she consults with others - including the father - first.
2. Gun Laws - Australia's gun laws would be a good guide for other nations to consider.
3. Homosexuality - They have the same right to be just as miserable as Heterosexuals. Therefore, their rights should reflect this.
4. Transgendered - I know a transgendered person personally and wish him luck with his transformation from female to male. And good luck to all the others I don't know.
5. Evolution - Evolution is a fact. However, I'm not sure everyone has had the opportunity to avail themselves of it just yet.
6. Anthropogenic global warming - Global warming is real, regardless of whether Humans are responsible or not. I believe Humans contribute to it and make it worse than what it might otherwise be.

Abortion. A woman should have the right to choose.
Gun Laws. I think every school in America should have a class on guns. And I mean actually going out in the field and learn to shoot them.
Homosexuality. As long as they keep it behind closed doors. But the same sex should not be kissing or doing anything else in public where kids can see it.
Transgenders. No opinion one way or the other.
Evolution. More believable than the Bible.
Global warming. Global Warming is a myth and hoax. It is just a way for Democrats to take more of your money and have more control over everyone's lives.

Political orientation: anti-establishment anti-corporatist anti-statusquo . i do not believe in the "left vs right" simplistic notion of politics or the current state of "democracy" in the western world.
1. Abortion - on the fence, i think it should be a case-by-case thing. i do not consider myself educated enough in biology to make a definitive stance on the sissue
2. Gun Laws - I am against incendiary and projectile weaponry. Burn all weapon factories to the ground. No guns; no killing sprees. No bombs; no world wars. That said, I would leave this decision-making up to people who research violence, war and crime for a living.
3. Homosexuality - i don't condemn any sexuality.
4. Transgenders - i don't condemn any human identity.
5. Evolution - this isn't a political issue. people are allowed to be morons. if you mean "teach evolution in schools yes or no" then i will say "i don't believe in the school system". The university I went to used to teach that homosexuality was a mental illness in the 1970s. the biggest university in my country. in this same uni, I got an "A" on an exam question when I praised bureaucracy. Make of that what you will.
6. Anthropogenic global warming - i'm not sure how this is political. again, people are free to believe whatever they want.

First the guns then the bombs. You try to get rid of all the guns and this saying would be more true than ever. "You outlaw guns then only outlaws would have guns" Noe for the bombs. Say every country that had nuclear bombs agreed to get rid of them all. Slowly all countries started to eliminate all their bombs. When they were all gone you have say Russia say Oh no we found 10 nuclear bombs we did not know we had. The next thing they would say to America is surrender immediately or you ALL die. We would have no choice but to surrender.

We would have no choice but to surrender. no country will ever give up their munitions. and yeah it's probably next to impossible to infiltrate the criminal underground and remove all their weapons (they probably have weapon factories in their pockets too). My stance in that subject is utterly utopic sadly. that's why i'll never be a politician.

I call myself a "libertarian socialist." My views are extremely idiosyncratic, but in a nutshell I'm libertarian on social and moral issues, while I'm socialist on economic issues.
Abortion -- pro-choice. And abortion should be allowed up to the last minute.
Gun laws -- I'm in favor of doing whatever we'd need to do to greatly minimize gun violence. The goal should be to get gun violence close to zero.
Homosexuality -- seems ridiculous to even ask where we'd "stand on homosexuality as an issue." It's not an issue. Some people are homosexual. It's no one else's business or concern that some people are homosexual. No one should have any problem with anyone being any way that they are re any possible consensual way they'd be/thing they'd do.
Transgenders -- see homosexuality
Evolution -- again, I don't see how it's an "issue." It's simply science.
Global warming -- see evolution.

It must be remembered that evolution has not and cannot be directly observed since it takes millions of years. We only have evidence based off of fossils and records of changes in ecosystems over millions of years. That allows scientists to make a model, so to speak, of how species have changed over time. It's still a theory by that it's a collection of evidence that is inductively lead to a conclusion which is how pretty much all scientific theories work. Small scale changes, such as the formation of breeds within a particular species are recorded and observed though.

Arguably, no scientific claim is directly observed because science always involves generalizations, and you can't directly observe a generalization. For example, you can't directly observe that F=ma as a principle. Also, "still a theory" suggests that anything could be otherwise--that is, "used to be a theory, but now is something else." But that's not the case. Theories don't "graduate" to become something else.

But that's not the case. Theories don't "graduate" to become something else. I addressed this. Instances after instances are observed and they are lead to a general conclusion from inductive logic. Laws of humans are made first to control, natural laws are observed first and then imagined.
And they do "graduate" or perhaps "matriculate" to something "higher" which is a scientific law. That's, from what I understand, a theory that appears to be so air tight that it has survived hundreds of years of testing and still has not been proven false. Since there is no way to prove something is really true in science, all you can do is try and prove it false and fail to do so and neither is necessary a "bad" outcome.

Since there is no way to prove something is really true in science, all you can do is try and prove it false and fail to do so and neither is necessary a "bad" outcome.
The second comment is a very rudimentarily ignorant misunderstanding of the core ideas of science methodology. Theories do not graduate to become something else, period. I'm not essentially "asking" you this by saying it, so that you might respond with a different idea, I'm not merely suggesting it, I'm not tentatively saying it, and it's not something at all controversial. I'm telling you something that, if you learn it, will help you not immediately signal to someone who is educated in science methodology that you are not educated in it. Not understanding what I'm telling you is, to someone like me, equivalent to flashing a sign that says, "I'm not actually educated in science methodology." The misunderstanding you're forwarding is common in the Internet, for example, but that makes it no less of a misunderstanding. Ignorance is rampant in the Internet. "Theory," in science methodology , does not in any manner indicate "something we aren't sure of." Theories are overarching explanations of some phenomena or other. Theories are theories by virtue of having been extensively tested and verified. Re scientific laws, they describe phenomena in a cause-effect manner. They are relatively simple principles of "behavior."
Theories typically incorporate laws. Theories do not become laws.
So, for example, the Newtonian theory of gravity, which is an overarching explanation of the phenomenon of gravity, incorporates the law of force (F=ma). The Newtonian theory of gravity doesn't change to become something other than a theory. It wouldn't change to become a law. That's nonsensical talk that instead suggests a fundamental lack of knowledge about science methodology, about what things such as theories and laws are in the sciences.
