Cabin in the Woods, which I like more with each viewing.
I liked Prometheus (due almost entirely to its visuals) but I've never seen that as horror. Just really really really really stupid SF.

I see it as horror because it is scary throughout imo. It follows the same pattern as Alien and many horror movies where the characters are killed off one by one throughout the movie. I am scratching my head a bit how you can say you like Prometheus even though you think it is a really stupid movie. If I think a movie is really stupid, no amount of great visuals can save it.

1)Byzantium (2012-2013) - 6-6.5/10 (within my Top 235 movies)
I have seen it twice so far... Oct 28th 2013/Jan 19th 2017. in fact, it went up from a 6/10 to a 6-6.5/10 on the 2nd viewing.
p.s. that movie also happens to be directed by the guy who directed Interview with the Vampire (1994) (8/10 ; within my Top 55 movies)

Not my favorite year for horror but I did enjoy a ridiculous little film called ATM. Most people seem to hate it though. Chernobyl Diaries was surprisingly good too.
