I did try to think of a religious movie. There are more obscure titles, like Bloody New Year, and some documentaries and a horror short filmed nearby.

The Dark Knight Rises The Perks of Being a Wallflower Kingpin (a neighborhood bowling alley was used in some scenes) Night of the Living Dead Dawn of the Dead Striking Distance Groundhog Day The Deer Hunter Silence of the Lambs (when i go canoeing the drop off bus takes us right past Buffalo Bills house in the film) Southpaw (i can literally throw a rock from my house to where they filmed some of the scenes at the gym and bar, traffic was a pain in the ass during filming)

As I am in NYC; who gives a damn. Ties up traffic. They tend to shoot in Vancouver instead, cuz it's cheaper. Often when you see scenes in New York, more often its Vancouver, or even Toronto. 😎

OK---Tell that to: How about early Abel Ferrara? He made a film called Driller Killer in New York where he goes nuts and puts a drill through the heads of tramps. 👍 Andy Warhol made a film that was just a kajillion hours looking at the Empire State Building.

GOLDFINGER was the closest filmed near me. I was a little kid, but I still remember that poor guy being crushed in that car crushing machine, and Odd Job pointing at me and getting ready to throw me in next. So I ducked the throw of his deadly hat, and when it landed on an electric fence whose 5,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 volts were turned off, I waited for him to grab his metal hat and then I flipped the switch and sent him to "Ash" land, Kentucky.

will the christians allow high resolution filming
as holy war gets started here in the united states will the christians have make up artists at the ready and typical lighting directors?
or can we assume they'll screw that up as well, transforming disneyland into hell, because they could never afford to go there.
and peter pan showed a little too much flair. as he blew kisses to that pastor's son who felt something miraculous happening deep inside his underwear.
sjw 10/02/18 inspired at this very moment in time by the hard to conceal curiosity every time a holy war starts.

Depending on how you define "near", Barry Lyndon, The Italian Job and Star Wars.
