Some songs just feel us with different feelings. They make us concentrate on the lyrics and feel about life....Please post the ones that give such feelings to you.
There are many personal favorite songs that have made me feel quite emotional indeed
but for now these particular songs really do stay with me always .
Thanks so much Aj_June for this wonderful subject post .

I just had to get my dog who I had for 11 years put to sleep. I made an 11 song Neil Young playlist of his favorite Neil songs. And yes, he really did like his acoustic songs, his voice, guitar and harmonica. Especially "Thrasher". Since I got the procedure done at home, we were able to listen to Neil Young when he went. I think "Helpless" live from Massey Hall '71 was on when he passed away. That version was already kind of hard to listen to. That's rough, man. I'm sorry you're going through that, but as all pet lovers know, it's the price we pay. We know it going in, but we go in anyway. It's selfless love, but its not without its own rewards: www.griefhealing.com/the-fourth-day.htmMy contribution to this thread is similar. Once upon a long time ago, my 13-year old companion got sick. He didn't make it. That night, I called that Delilah chick on the radio and had her dedicate Bridge Over Troubled Water to him. She said she never had anyone dedicate a song to a dog before, and that she was happy to do it for me. To this day, I still can't hear it without getting choked up.

Great song, but if we're gonna go there in this thread, my vote is for: Got my SW tickets for Dec 19. Woot! ps. I used to have the In Absentia album cover as my avatar here. Some dumbass said it was a cliche teenage angst picture, and that I was trying to be "cool." lol

That was the only thing I disliked about the album. My favorite song on it is The Sound of Muzak.

It was the first PT album with Gavin Harrison. IMO, he gave SW exactly what he needed. There's not a bad track on the record, although Trains is one of my least favorite PT songs ever, which is weird to me because a lot of people seem to absolutely love it. I'd say my favorite track one the album is probably Blackest Eyes. You don't like the cover? I'm sure SW would agree that it might be a bit cliche, but it still made a great avatar. Haha.

For the past 5 days I haven't had one day inside my house where I have felt comfortable or relaxed doing anything. It's like something's not right in there. And I specifically don't like looking at the spot where his dog bed, blankets and toys were - or where his food and water bowls were.

" Those are some good songs mszanadu. I guess you're a big Carpenters fan "
This particular selection of songs here was ( and still is ) my all time favorite ones of theirs too ( and I own a few of their CD Albums also ) .
I'm actually a lifelong fan of The Carpenters
since I was a very young child
and their wonderful sound has always kept me inspired
to stay hopeful and aware with life as well .
I have always believed this to be true
that music is very therapeutic for the mind and soul too .
Thanks so much Jay for your excellent song selections also and for your reply here too .

. Music consistently is more emotionally magnified for me in the morning. The little airlocks I have between work, my lover , children etc. More likely to weep and reflect . It is morning now in UK. Good morning all.

That's so true what you say about music being therapeutic to the mind and soul. And if it's music you listened to as a child that also probably illicits good memories and nostalgia which is also the great thing about music
