I’m curious to ask this since I’ve read posts on other forums about this topic, and it has made me curious as to how someone who is homosexual would typically view their body or face if it was actually attractive? I can imagine that some women would wish that they can just swap their body to literally clean themselves up with their please racks, or ‘milk’ them entirely; just as some guys would want to do the same to enjoy Oktoberfest year round, with some beer out of their keg of course. I could also imagine that some would rather just get this stuff from someone else, and that they’d use their special advantage to know how to look on a date, or at a gay bar. So, how often does this occur?

I can only assume there are narcissists across all orientations.

Well the flip side to this question: Is a heterosexual repulsed by his own genitals and body while he's masturbating? Wouldn't that be a boner kill? I mean, I see heterosexual males say other males are hideous when it comes to sex. So doesn't that imply some hatred of their own body? Yes I believe that too. I think society has made it easy for men to be shamed by their own sex and in response they have become repulsed to the idea of expressing their sexuality and being comfortable with their own bodies. It's close to the exact opposite issue for women where they feel they have to express themselves sexually in order to get noticed or accepted.

That actually makes sense in a way, as that statement that quite a few of the heterosexual men make is kind of contradictory in a way. While I’m not attracted to the male body, sexually speaking, I’m comfortable enough with my sexuality to be able to admire a male body in a platonic way, and actually respect what the genitals are used for without getting revolted by them, as being feeling lust towards women doesn’t necessarily mean that I hate feel the opposite towards men. In contrary, most people that I’ve spoken with seem to assume that if you don’t turn your head away when there’s a shirtless man, or a photo of a dick that you’re automatically gay. Some may naturally find it grotesque, which they are entitled to feel since it’s likely just in the ‘hard wiring’, but then the boners don’t fully make sense. I think that our former homophobic society still hasn’t fully evolved past the many eras where gays and lesbians were locked up, or thrown into mental wards if they expressed or were caught engaging in homosexual acts. So the fear of getting chastised is still a thing, even with the legalization in most areas of America. And god forbid, the SJW group has literally done them no justice. They give liberals a bad name, and separate what makes them liberals.

What kind of a question is this? Of course we do. I can’t look at myself in the mirror for one second without thinking damn, that is one sexy girl looking back at me.

As a heterosexual male, I simply have no personal experience to draw upon to answer the question.
However, if it helps, despite the fact that I've never been attracted to the male form, I've never been disgusted by my own... maleness.

I've seen heterosexuals mock the term "homophobia" because "fear of the same" doesn't technically mean "fear of fags". But you're right, all guys, straight and gay, love their own dicks. Like someone has already commented, it is a societal conditional hard-wiring to express revulsion. It's all bulls<>t and straight fools are scared and afraid, hence the phobia. Oh, to express love and embracement for the masculine form will mean I am not a real man. Is it? That's news to me...
I'm heterosexual and have never doubted that fact for a single moment, but I've also encountered attractive and impressive physical specimens of both genres. And although the male specimens did not appeal to me personally, I could certainly see why others - be they gay males or straight females - might find them attractive.
I also once encountered a bi-sexual male who claimed to be physically attracted to me. I pointed out I was strictly heterosexual, so there would be no false hopes or misunderstandings, but I saw no reason to freak out about it.

I'm pleased you didn't freak out about it. May I please ask you as a self proclaimed straight man, do you recognize the 'sexual' appeal or allure of attractive looking males—taking females out of the equation—and if you do, what aspect about the male form\physique would then not make you want to go there with another dude?
As a gay male, I recognize the attractiveness of hot looking women, but their body parts leave me cold, even chilled. They have something I don't possess and am not familiar with.
I can understand why they would be considered attractive, but that's about where it ends for me.
I simply can't understand why anyone - male or female - would prefer the male form over the female form. Like you, the body parts just leave me cold.
For me, the female form is more attractive in every way. I've felt this way ever since I was old enough to realize there were two genders. Of course, as a young child I may not have been able to explain exactly why I felt this way, but I just knew what I liked.

Most people aren't sexually attracted to themselves, whether they are straight or gay. It just doesn't work that way. Most men know when another man is attractive and has a good body, but not in a way that sexually attracts them. That is what straight men mean when they say they think the body of another man is repulsive. They mean the idea of touching another man's body in a sexual way is repulsive. When someone is masturbating they aren't thinking of themselves while doing it. I don't agree with a lot of what has been said in this thread, but I can only base my response on what I know about myself and what I have observed in society.

If you find a penis repulsive as most straight males say, that would definitely kill your boner. So no, you don't really find the bodies of other men repulsive. You've been conditioned by Judeo-Christian society. Many ancient cultures actually worshiped the Phallus. Trust me, the heterosexual males in those societies didn't find male bodies or penises repulsive. Homophobia = fear of the same = hatred of your own body. It's a Judeo-Christian sickness. I simply don't agree with you and you have ignored my point to support your own delusions to some extent. I am not disagreeing that their is social conditioning to a certain extent, but to what extent is pointless to even speculate about. I am aware of the information I put in bold. Ancient cultures did a lot of questionable stuff. Not saying worshiping a phallic object is wrong, I'm just saying that just because an ancient culture did something doesn't make it a good thing. I'd say men do worship their own penises, but because of the sexual power they represent. Specifically the ability to impregnate a women and because they think their penises deserve to be worshiped by whomever they are sexually attracted to.
