Sphere. Arguably my favorite book of his, and the film is flat out unwatchable.

I liked The Andromeda Strain but could be done better. Might be my favorite Crichton novel, too.
Congo. It's a good novel but the film just isn't all that compelling.
The Great Train Robbery. Another great novel. The film is pretty good, with a great cast, it just moves too slow at points but Connery pulled off some amazing stuntwork.
Sphere. I enjoyed the novel, though not as much as I hoped. I have not seen the movie.
Jurassic Park. Fine novel and film. I think they got this one right.

I want to see a good Andromeda Strain actually. The Andromeda Strain (1971) is an excellent movie IMO and an extremely faithful adaptation of the novel. The biggest change was Dr. Leavitt's gender. Yes some aspects of the movie, especially the computer technology, seem dated today. Still a great movie though, and I own it on DVD.

Sphere is his best novel, so it could always be remade.
I also think Jurassic Park could be remade. The movie and the book are not entirely similar due to budget constraints.

Not a remake but I wish they made a movie for Airframe.

One more for "Congo"
I actually enjoyed the movie (though not as much as the book), if not only for Tim Curry.
"Sphere" probably could use another try, though I too thought the novel wasn't his best.

As much as the first film is iconic and beloved, I would like to see a more faithful adaptation of Jurassic Park which would probably need to be rated R.
I never read Sphere but I'm one of those oddballs who actually liked the film.
