When i hit play i thought this was the 2018 film that i remembered trailers for, with the weird grinning possession moments or whatevs...soon enough i realized it was a different film...it was surprisingly good. Not great by any means but for a film about young adults being stalked by a demon forcing them to play truth or dare...i enjoyed it. It back doored all these punishment type reasons on why these people had to do said truth or said dare...Billy commited a hit and run so he has to get hit by a car, Susie is a vegan so she has to eat human flesh...that sort of thing. It does a good job at masking its 'final girl/survivor' too. Halfway thru i still wasnt sure who to expect in the end.

I caught it on Youtube and watched it without knowing anything about it. I thought it was pretty good, not a masterpiece but these types of films aren't trying to be anything amazing.
For me it had the "fun" nature of 80's films. No PC agenda's no moralizing. Just an entertaining move.

I just watched this yesterday on Netflix and also thought it was 2018 version which I had not seen either.
I wasn't too into it.

This was actually a SyFy original movie, believe it or not.
No giant monster shark/crab hybrids, just a dumb little horror movie about teens in peril from evil. It was absolutely nothing great, but surprisingly not terrible. They made a number of little old school horror movies last year for October, and this was probably the best of the 3 or 4 that I saw. I'm assuming they've got more for this year.
Also, I haven't seen the truth or dare CGI grin movie, but as far as I can tell the plot is pretty much the same as this one.

I'm almost to the end now. It was actually bearable for a straight to TV movie. Syfy movies can either be decent or downright trash. Not expecting a happy ending.
*spoilers*
Why the hell didn't the kid studying to be a Dr. shoot himself somewhere else? He could've done it where it wouldn't have hit any major organs...The dare didn't say "Shoot yourself in the head."

Wasn’t bad, but I’m not sure the version I saw was complete. Is it supposed to end really abruptly?
I gotta disagree it did a good job of masking its survivor. I knew about 20 minutes in who it would be. She seemed less dumb than the others. She acted like a final girl in general.
