"Why doesn't Halloween (2018) have a subtitle?" -------------------------------- Because it's "HALLOWEEN", That's Why!

Feels weird that Halloween 2 is being ignored since it stars Curtis and was written by John Carpenter.

It's like when bands release a self-titled album 20 or 30 years into their career, despite their debut also being self-titled. It usually signals a fresh start/new concept. Whether that legitimizes it or not is another question.

They should have simply gone with Halloween: Chapter 2 IMO.

Should be Halloween: Evil Comes Home. That's actually a good title. You're right. They should have gone with that. I was thinking: Halloween: The Revenge of Laurie Strode, but yours is way better.

Why not just plain Halloween 2, since they are dismissing the original H2 We’ve already had 2 movies with that title. Then again, we’ll be having 3 films with the title of just “Halloween”.

We’ve already had 2 movies with that title. Then again, we’ll be having 3 films with the title of just “Halloween”. The plot has been lost and so lets just throw caution to the wind. They can pretty much do whatever they want to now, because each installment is just accepted on its own merit. I agree though, they needed a subtitle after it to distinguish and connect it to the first. Yeah, otherwise people are gonna assume it’s another reboot.

I agree. I remember reading they were going to call it 'Halloween Returns' but somewhere along the line they changed it to just 'Halloween' and I think it is confusing for people especially when we already have two movies that used that title and they should have stayed with 'Halloween Returns.'
