I'll see your Godfather II and raise you Goldfinger. I'll raise you From Russia With LoveYes, however I don't treat the Bond films (until Craig's serials) as sequels. They're essentially all one offs. To FRWL's credit though, & it is my #28 all time movie, James' intro with his g/f from Dr. No is nice lineage. Esp since that girl is borderline a fling & doesn't need to reappear again.

It's either The Pink Panther Strikes Again (1976) or Jaws 2 (1978). While I love The Pink Panther Strikes Again, I thought A Shot in the Dark (1964), the first Pink Panther sequel, was even better.

Good grief...i really have to say. There's one guy on the board who writes some mind numblingly tedious posts. I didn't realise watching movies was a mathematical equation.

It's not only Sylvia Trench re-appearing, but the plot was basically SPECTRE wanting to kill and humiliate Bond in order to avenge Dr. No. I was always curious why Bond fans don't consider FRWL a direct sequel when it directly references the last film.

Love Bride of Frankenstein so that's as good an answer as any. In general though, sequels we're largely a bad idea for a long time.
