I'm just grateful that it looks like it'll at least be a faithful adaptation of the book. I remember a couple years ago hearing all this nonsense about how they wanted fuck around with it so that Ellie's now a teenager and the movie would focus on her and whatnot. Thankfully it looks like they didn't go that route.
Also, I literally can't think of another actor (except maybe for Fred Gwynne) who'd be better choice as Judd Crandall than John Lithgow.

Its really hard to picture anyone but Gwynne as that character. But Lithgow is a fantastic choice.

Before this movie was cast, I was actually thinking of John Goodman as Judd, but Lithgow's a better choice.

That looks pretty good.
I've never liked the older film.
I might have to try the novel again.

I really liked it. It looks like it’s going to have the same spirit of the original film.

That looks pretty good. I've never liked the older film. I might have to try the novel again. The novel deals a bit more with the curse of the Wendigo and cannibalism. Thats kind of the origin of the evil in the cemetary. It also makes a case for the sematary not always bringing people back as pure evil. They are usually different, but not necessarily evil...just as if theyve lost some of themselves in death. But sometimes the evil comes with it.
