Happy 89th Birthday Liselotte Pulver!!! Born on October 11, 1929 in Bern, Switzerland Thanks for everything, retired since 1996 and lives secluded in Perroy on the shores of Lake Geneva. Sometimes simply called Lilo Pulver, popular Swiss-born actress of European movies, and a few American, of the 1950s and 1960s. After graduating in 1948, she worked as a model and took acting classes at the Bern conservatory, now part of the Bern University of Applied Sciences. Following small parts at the Bern Theatre (Stadttheater Bern), she appeared at the renowned Schauspielhaus Zürich, one of the most prestigious German-speaking theatres. Her movie debut was in the Swiss-American co-production Swiss Tour aka Four Days Leave 1950, playing an uncredited G.I. flirt. Her big breakthrough came in the romantic comedy Uli, der Knecht aka Uli the Farmhand 1954. A non-complete look at her movie career: Fritz und Friederike 1952, with Albert Lieven Ich und Du aka I and You 1953, with Hardy Kruger. Lilo was nominated for a Golden Globe. Dr. med. Hiob Prätorius 1965 with Heinz Rühmann Le gentleman de Cocody aka Man from Cocody 1965, with Jean Marais Le jardinier d'Argenteuil aka The Gardener of Argenteuil 1966, with Jean Gabin and Pierre Vernier. By the end of the 1960s, her kind of movies had become out of fashion. Between 1977 and 1986, Lilo was part of the ensamble of the West-German version of Sesame Street called Sesamstraße. Liselotte Pulver has acted in over 75 movies and television productions.
