Disney, easily, though I like Star Wars a lot, too. So does Disney.

Walt Disney for me. Sure, Lucas created the biggest franchise ever, but you gotta give credit to a man who started an entire medium of filmmaking (animation).

The original trilogy are my favorite movies, but Lucas was heavily influenced by the genius of Walter Elias Disney.

Which would I rather not have existed? Disney. Star Wars was great for about 10 years. Disney has been pretty good for about 80.

What's the question? Who's better? Whose SW films are better?

Walt Disney
You have all of his animated films from Snow White, Pinocchio, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, et al... And then you have his live action films like Davy Crockett, Treasure Island, Swiss Family Robinson, etc. The man was a genius and knew how to make family friendly films.
Lucas created a handful of genius level films like American Graffiti and Star Wars Episode IV, but then jumped the shark in his latter years.

Walt was basically a Nazi. George of course. Was he really an antisemite? I've tried looking into that but I've never seen any real conclusive evidence.

Walt Disney is most likely the most influential figure in Hollywood. Not only due to his film productions, but the development of various technology related to film and tv. Ub Iwerks and other Disney personnel.
Lucas was a pioneer as well but far down the totem pole in significance.
Disney had Jews working for him so I don't know how he could have been considered an anti-semite.
From what I have read he was shunned by the major studios but so were lots of people. I suspect his "Nazi" credentials are mainly due to him being anti-communist. Given how feeble his company is now with a globalist agenda (Black Panther 24 7!!! Wakanda Forever!!) maybe he had a good reason for thinking that.
Wakanda forever!!!!!!!
