The book and the 1997 miniseries. The miniseries?! No, no, no, no...

The book is better than the movie, which is better than the mini-series. Which is curious, since it follows the book very closely. I saw the movie before reading the book, and couldn't understand why so many people who read the novel were fussing about it...then I read the book and understood.

It follows it more closely (I think it was King approved) but it is very much made for Network TV, like IT before it, and it suffers from that. The movie was way scarier although I loved that they got the topiary part right and liked the effect they used for it. The book is surpasses both of them though. It's one of my favorites even though I don't care for horror too much.

The book was solid, but not my fave king. The film isn’t my favorite either but I probably enjoy it a tad more.

The book and the 1997 miniseries. The miniseries?! No, no, no, no... Didn't care for the miniseries. The main problem was the hotel itself. It looked like a bed and breakfast. A haunted bed and breakfast isn't that scary. But I only seen it once.
