Sure, if you define 'religion' so loosely that it's a completely pointless term.

Can atheism really have a church?A church is defined as an association of people who share a particular belief system. So yes, a church of atheism can really exist. So what? Let's say a church of atheism can really exist.. Who gives a shit? People as stupid as the OP; or bots as badly programmed as the OP. There may be churches based on atheism; but this does not mean that atheism in itself is a religion. Just like when a car manufacturer decides to name one of its models after an animal (like "cougar") does not turn all animals with this name into cars. Saying that atheism is a religion makes as much sense as saying that all cheetahs or cougars are cars. Meaning: None.

How is Atheism a belief? In what?
It is simply not believing in a god. It's not even believing that god doesn't exist. It's simply saying we aren't convinced it does exist.
Atheism is not a belief.
You have proclaimed that god does not exist countless times here. What you fail to realize is that you have no authority to proclaim anything. You merely believe there is no god and this is obvious in your numerous unqualified proclamations. If you played pinochle you could claim to lack a belief in god, since you instead rage here all day then you must have some beliefs about god. But God doesn't exist. What exactly are you so confused about, my little snowflake?

In before the "it's not belief it's disbelief" nonsense starts.
Also in before those who want to argue that disbelief is not accurate either.

You say that because lumping atheists in with theists makes you feel like less of a fool for devoting your life to a delusion.

So you dont adhere to a particular set of beliefs? Science is the ultimate authority, there is no God, there is no afterlife, there is no such thing as sin, etc. etc. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) I must be imagining all of that.

religion3. the body of persons adhering to a particular set of beliefs and practices: So what particular set of beliefs and practices do you think one has to subscribe to in order to be defined as an atheist?

Correct, atheism doesn't mean you adhere to any particular set of beliefs. And you are imagining most of that. Atheism does not say there is no god, or there is no afterlife, and it might depend on what you mean by sin. Some atheists do say there is no god, but that is not a requirement to be an atheist. So yes, you have a misunderstanding.
And science isn't an ultimate authority and doesn't pretend to be. It is simply the best method for determining how reality works. It is a method for testing and confirming evidence to support or disprove models of reality.

I don't think it necessarily has to be a religion, but more and more of them are making it into a religion and lying about it. Like 7up is the uncola, they try to present it as the unreligion, and it isn't very convincing. I think this makes sense... Some atheists try too hard to make atheism look like its not a religion and some religious people try too hard to make atheism look like it is a religion.. and its so funny how much they care it really gets me every time 😂ðŸ˜

By the way, it's kind of strange to see you and Cash talking pleasantly with each other like nothing ever happened, but I'm not complaining. There seems to be a little more civility on this new board. And they don't beep out our dirty words either. It's cool.

Yeah. It's awesome to be able to say shit whenever I want to. Shitty shit shit. Took a shit today, good times. Totally awesome. And yet, now that we're allowed to say it, the need to say it doesn't seem to be as much.
