Because evidence and truth are relative. In past exchanges you have refused to acknowledge this. So what convinces one atheist might not convince another. What you are talking about is people being rational or irrational, not whether truth is relative. In the past you've refused to acknowledge this.
2+2=4 This isn't relative to anything.
You can either demonstrate your claim to be true and show that it has reliable results or you can't.
Actually, it is.

We could go through the entire argument again, but for simplicity purposes I'll just focus on your claim. 2+2=4 That is relative. It depends on the numerical integer system 1, 2, 3, 4, 5..., and on the rules of addition. If we were talking Boolean algebra, 2 were a symbol for true, and + for "OR", then 2+2=2. And Boolean algebra has reliable results. This sounds true to me.

Why not.
I'm sorry you're just being absurd.

Yes, blade, you've made it abundantly clear you generally have no idea what you're talking about. Now maybe if the subject was young women whispering you'd have an informed opinion, but in the matters of religion, atheism, and homosexuality you're clueless. ?

Vernuf makes a bunch of claims about me and when I ask him to back them up...he vanishes. I watch asmr videos, something that I've admitted to literally dozens of times. These guys tend to focus on the fact that some asmr videos tend to whispered instead of a normal speaking voice and that I am subscribed to several women on youtube[who do asmr videoes] younger than I am. A few of them tried painting me as a pedophile. Yes, they really did. Atheists are great people aren't they?

I had to go and read what 'asmr' is about. I see. "pedophilia" huh, strong accusation. So because you like these asmr videos and you're subscribed to channels on youtube of women who are younger than you are you're a 'pedophile'? How does that make sense? (Thank you for the explanation/overview, by the way)

But nobody could back that claim. It's not really worth getting into further. You know the basics. It's all very stupid.

But nobody could back that claim. It's not really worth getting into further. You know the basics. It's all very stupid. Well, people say a lot of things, and yet the truth of it is what we wonder about, right? For example: If you watch videos of girls who are below 17 and if '17' is considered to be 'underage', then in practice you do watch videos of 'underage girls', no question about it. So in that sense even I have watched videos of underage girls myself, because for example I've watched clips of babies who swim in swimming pools by themselves, and some of those babies have been baby girls. And then now I have to wonder ( ) ... would that make me a 'pedophile' in "their" eyes too? Hmm... Points to ponder. In my view, the label of 'pedophilia' implies a very strong accusation at least as far as 'modern society' is concerned.

You have proclaimed that god does not exist countless times here. not once
And my belief about a god is that theists have never once shown the claim to be credible but insist on carrying on institutions that promote scientific ignorance and even bigotry.
You said "we know Genesis is fiction," it is not, it is allegory. You cannot read at a high school level, never mind college. You keep saying countless times "there is no evidence" for a god. The fact of the matter is that you believe there is no evidence for a god. You somehow deluded yourself that unless you see the evidence first hand no one else could have either. That is a serious brain defect. You are full of beliefs but fail to recognize them as beliefs. I don't like bigotry either, but I don't think stupid people who can't read are going to be any help stopping it at all.

What you fail to realize is that you have no authority to proclaim anything. Maybe you'll figure that out someday bro. That's the problem with organized religions and people who fall into that trap, you live in a double standard. All of a sudden you're proclaiming things that cannot be proven, while at the same time admonishing others for doing the same. You and your church leaders also have no authority to proclaim anything, so welcome to the club Arlon. I don't proclaim things. I build strong cases for them. I even prove some things.

You have proclaimed that god does not exist countless times here. What you fail to realize is that you have no authority to proclaim anything. You merely believe there is no god and this is obvious in your numerous unqualified proclamations. If you played pinochle you could claim to lack a belief in god, since you instead rage here all day then you must have some beliefs about god. But God doesn't exist. What exactly are you so confused about, my little snowflake? You have the same brain defect as ArArArchStanton. You think you're entitled to your own facts. Your are not. You are entitled to your own opinions. You are entitled to believe that God doesn't exist. I will let you know when you have established facts.

Atheists (and an embarrassing number of "Christians") are terribly unsystematic in their beliefs. That's why I say atheism is a "belief" but not a "religion." That link looks like just another cheap licensing operation. In non-technical terms, what's the difference between a belief and a religion? I say there is no difference that matters. A belief can be one simple fact like I believe "it will not rain before 4pm." A religion is generally a systematic approach to to life with set of tenets.

Whether or not "2+2=4" is true does depend on the mathematical system we are using. Consider a clock with three numbers on it: 0, 1, 2. Start at 0. If you add 2, you end up at 2. Add another 2, you end up at 1. The behaviour of this clock can be described by a modular arithmetic in which 2+2=1. There might even be physical systems in the world that behave this way. Consider a strange particle composed of neutrinos. Call it a "schmeutrino". Schmeutrinos come in three different types: some are composed of two joined neutrinos, others are composed of three neutrinos, others are composed of four neutrinos. Experiments show that when you add a fifth neutrino, you end up with only two neutrinos again. None of the neutrinos escape, nor are they transformed into anything else. They just disappear. Four plus one becomes two. Of course, there is no reason to believe that such a particle actually exists. And it certainly seems very bizarre. But lots of discoveries in quantum physics have been very bizarre. We shouldn't rule out this kind of behaviour a priori.

There isn't a discussion going on here. There is just you refuting a definition so that we can't move on.
Atheism is simply not accepting it as true that a god exists. When you have evidence of one, we'll believe you.
The end.
And you miss the point. I haven't refuted or said anything against the definition of 'atheism' or anything about trying to convince you (fools) of anything. All I said was that those words which you spoke(typed/expressed/said) and which I pointed out are 'Not true', 'Not true' and 'False' in that specific order. Then I also explained exactly why I said it. You're still wrong and with falseness. Yes us "fools", and thus you prove you're not really here to discuss anything. You're just one of those posters who can't do anything but reduce words to no meaning and grind all conversations to a halt. No reason left to speak with you.

I haven't reviewed the math of the big bang or studied DNA. So I have no idea where you got that from.
Correct, I believe there is no evidence for a god. Do you know of any?
Lastly, you realize people used to take genesis literally and some still do right? Why do you think they stopped? Because we learned it was bullshit, just like the rest of the book.

I can't believe you're serious when you get distracted this badly. It's just not worth responding to. You kids have fun.
