D. Wade's insane shot beats the Warriors. Awesome. But I feel like an idiot. When Kevin Durant hit that 3 and was also fouled I stopped watching the game. I thought Warriors were to win in that classic style of coming back down in 1st half. I should have watched those last 70 seconds or so but the idiot in me got the better of me.

Don't feel so bad, I was too busy watching the Celtics lay yet another egg to bother watching the Warriors lose. Lucky for me, I'll get a replay tonight on the local Warriors channel. Man, it's getting harder and harder each day trying to be optimistic about the Celtics. You keep thinking it's bound to come together, but reality is saying something different.

What do you know, a Toronto fan bragging a little too much two months before the playoffs actually begin. Is premature ejactulation a law in Canada? Make no mistake though, the Celtics are a total mess now. Just when you think they've hit a low spot, a game like tonight's happen. Even still, we ain't dead yet. We'll still be in the playoffs, so time will tell. As a Sixers fan - I dread the #4 vs #5 Sixers vs. Celts first round matchup I see a 'War' - where every game is close; however we get swept as we fall apart in the final minutes - you know - just like - well - every time we play you. Death. Taxes. Losing to the Celts. I keep waiting for the Pacers to falter and either the Celts or Sixers to jump to #3 so I don't have to endure this first round matchup. I can't see Brooklyn or anybody else getting hot and jumping higher than 6. I think the Sixers will get the 3 so it does not matter, but either way they beat the Celtics now. They have far more talent after these trades. Boston looks in disarray right now.

I read that one a while back. Yeah, the division seems very weak. I hope they can do a bit of reshuffling.
Even the Northwest division seems to be very weak although OKC and Portland have been relevant in recent years. I think they have very few titles together.
They now lead at 28-33 .459. Magic and Heat are 1/2 game back. Keep seeing people on TV forgetting that a team from this division has to get in when they predict who's in and who's out.

pau gasol to the bucks
the rich get richer
now hear me out folks - granted he's a dinosaur and averaging 4.2 PPG right now - but the Bucks haven't been to 'the show' and on the big stage - he's the type of crafty vet you can spot maybe 8 MPG in the playoffs when you feel like things are falling apart to bring the team back together and settle things down when it feels like momentum is about to swing or a game is getting out of hand - he's a veteran glue guy so to speak to settle the troops down when things are looking bleak.
good signing after being bought out by the Spurs IMO - wouldn't mind him as the 12th man on the bench during the playoffs

Otto Porter (my guy) just took the game from Trae Young and into his hands. Young with 16 and 6 in the 4th quarter, but Porter scored the last 8 for the Bulls, including 3 free throws with .4 seconds left. We got overtime in Atlanta, and Young starts it with a 3.

Let's go to double OT as the Bulls can't stop Young, and the Hawks can't stop LaVine, Porter and Markkanen.

I tell you, this could be the greatest game between lottery teams I've ever seen.
Triple OT

Holy hell...this is going to 4th OT guys. That stupid turnover by Zach..but don't think that mattered a lot. Let's create some total points record here.

@screamingtreefrogs You guys are taking on GSW today? no Embiid - unless it's a shocking late gametime decision (which has happened in the past)
they're home - I'm hoping Simmons, Butler, Tobias and JJ can handle the spotlight on National TV on a Saturday night without Jo-Jo and beat the piss out of them.......
make a statement game.

Harris was great in the recent game. Time for him to may be step up again and become the certified 2nd best player in the team. Warriors are coming of consecutive losses and have also Klay missing in this one. So let's just hope for a 76ers victory. Nothing will be more delightful on Sunday morning (yeah it is already early Sunday morning here).

ESPN doesn't even give a shit anymore. Steve Levy teaser:Later, introducing the segment: End of the segment: Uh, the Bulls won the 4-OT game by 7, 168-161.

Scoring question.
Lebron or somebody flips the ball at the backboard from the free-throw line, it bounces off and he stuffs it.
Does he get a rebound? Or is he still considered in control of the ball? 1-1 on FG, or 1-2? What if it catches the edge of the rim on the flip in?
Obviously no assist.

Or is he still considered in control of the ball? 1-1 on FG, or 1-2? What if it catches the edge of the rim on the flip in? Obviously no assist. Honestly, it would be up to the scoring official on site. Intent is the key here. According to official NBA rules, a clear self pass off the backboard does not count as an assist or rebound. It is one FG attempt. However, there are times when they count this as two shot attempts and a rebound. It depends on the scoring official and whether there was clear intent. What that means is that if a player is clearly shooting the ball, misses and only hits the backboard, and then the player gets their own board in the air and puts it back in, then it counts as two shot attempts and the player gets the rebound. This is very rare. Most of the time the rebound and initial FG attempt are not counted. These are on obvious off the backboard plays that we see in the NBA on a regular basis.
