If you want to give the higher seeds an advantage gift them like a 20 point breaker for the top 2 seeds and a 10 point breaker for seeds 3 and 4. The rest get no such breaker. For example. Person A (#1 Seed) Picks the Chiefs to win the SB and they predict a total playoff score of 150 points for the Chiefs. Say they score 170 points instead of 150. Well with the gifted 20 point advantage they would have a perfect prediction. Also make it that people aren't allowed to pick the same total score. That to me seems more fun. I’m going to have to veto that idea, but by all means keep them coming. Veto it if you want. It's your decision. I just know I'm not interested in the format you put out on just picking a SB winner and so on. So if I'm in there I'd gladly let somebody else take my place.

What about a March madness style playoff pickem. Where you pick all the games before the first one is played? The problem with a March madness style playoff for the NFL is if you miss a game on the first weekend, it could destroy your entire bracket because now the matchups change depending on the seeds for the next round.

It is what it is. You put in all the work to make this contest go smoothly and I believe we all had fun. Whatever you decide is all right by me.

Okay, so more people have now voted for option 2. Here's my thinking going forward.
Option A:
Top 12 players from the regular season, considered playoff posters (which is another issue; in my opinion the regular season should mean something) will be invited to play, officially. Non playoff posters are of course, still welcome to post their picks but their score will not be tallied.
Players post their score predictions for one round (first, Wild Card Weekend). Priority will be given to the higher seeded player from the regular season. A lower seeded player cannot post the same score as a higher seeded player. Players also post a Super Bowl winner from the start (which will award bonus points if ultimately correct). Players get points for correct winners and bonus points for exact correct scores. We go through the rounds accordingly. Players will be eliminated if they don't pick a single game correctly in a round (in the Wild Card Round, players would have to get all 4 games wrong to be eliminated). At the Super Bowl, players post the score of the game plus an MVP, which also awards bonus points if correct.
Option B:
The same as option A, minus the whole elimination thing.
Option C:
The same as option A except that everyone, old and new, can play and will have their points tallied and recorded. Regular season seeds still apply except seeded 1-21 instead of 1-12. New players (that didn't participate in the regular season) can still play but seeded lower (22, 23, 24...) depending on when they post in the thread.
Option D
The same as Option C, minus the elimination thing.
Which do you prefer? I totally get that non-playoff posters might not like the idea of being shut out, by the way. That's just the competitor in me. I'm not trying to be a dick, or malicious. Whatever the majority opts for is fine by me.

When you say ‘score prediction’ do you mean the final scores of the games? Ie: Falcons 24 Panthers 9, etc.
If yes, do you need to get the score right to get a win?

And no, you only need to pick the winner correctly to get a win. Getting the exact score right will just get you bonus points.
