I live in the town where "Groundhog Day" was filmed. You can see my pictures comparing the location sites from back in 1992 with the location sites of today in the link below as well as my autographed Blu-ray from Bill Murray. imdb2.freeforums.net/thread/87285/25th-anniversary-groundhog-february-12thSome of "Planes, Trains, & Automobiles" was also filmed in my town. More specifically, the part where Neal and Del get picked up in that semi truck near the end of the film. It's the same area where "Groundhog Day" was filmed.

Part of Planes, Trains, & Automobiles was filmed here as well, at Lambert Airport in St. Louis. Good chunks of Escape From New York and most of Up In The Air were filmed here. Most of White Palace with James Spader and Susan Sarandon. Steven Soderbergh filmed King of the Hill here.

I remember an old post on imdb that stated that the building it was filmed was being restored. Was that correct?

The bowling alley in Buffalo 66 (Recckio’s Bowling Center, now closed) was only a couple block away from where I lived for a while.
My father and my uncles were in the stands for a lot of The Natural. You can't see them though.

I'm pretty sure it was filmed in the old Kiel Opera House, which was indeed restored a while back. But it was demolished in the early 90s along with Kiel Auditorium, to make way for what's now known as the Enterprise Center (where the Blues play hockey).

Jaws 2 (1978)
There's a scene where Roy Scheider drives down to the docks and runs past a restaurant named Capt, Dave's. I made deliveries to that place three times a week for several months. It's still open.

I'm in NYC so tons of 'em.
My studio is in Jersey City. Palookaville is a great film for giving a feel of what Jersey City was like right about the time that I moved up here.
