Which apparently was going to be the plot for RAMBO 5 at one point too. It follows the world’s greatest tracker being tasked by the government with hunting down a vicious, man-made monster. Hunter takes his trusty wolf and a group of mercenaries after this creature, which has superhuman speed and strength, in addition to being seemingly unkillable. So...Predator by way of Frankenstein?

I wish Sly had gotten to make his long-gestating Poe biopic. I do love 'The Raven' (2012) though.

He had plans to do a sci-fi horror film called I believe ISOBAR back in the 90s.
This idea itself is standard B movie fodder--not a bad thing, but maybe he's a little old for it unless he's kind of a Van Helsing. Sounds like the sort of thing he should have done 20 years ago.
There's a Poe biopic starring Robert Walker Jr from around 1974 I have been meaning to check out.

I didn't really like The Raven much, but a good biopic of Poe that didnt try to turn it into it's own gothic horror could be very interesting. And Stallone, oddly does seem very interested in him as a subject. I'd be curious to see what he would do with that.
