one or two but nothing Really scary. I felt the editing was partly to blame for that.

Not a ton actually. The first two thirds of the movie are better than the final third though.

Not a ton actually. The first two thirds of the movie are better than the final third though. I'm opposite I found the podcast guys annoying. I did not need to see greying, bearded Michael Myers sans mask. The movie started working for me at the gas station so about 1/3 in. The deaths seemed more varied than usual. The head stomp particularly surprised me. I found it interesting he walked past the baby. My kid particularly liked the jack-o-lantern head. Michael getting creative

And even if he had survived he would still be blind. Should they have made a movie about a blind Michael Myers killing people? It makes perfect sense why they ignored part 2.

one or two but nothing Really scary. I felt the editing was partly to blame for that. I am not overly excited about this one and jump scares don't do it for me in the sense that atmosphere and dread is far more scarier and creepier.
I have read the the film suffers from too many different tones and it will be a pandering to the millennial generation. I have also read some comments how H20—which I really like—is better.
I also can't put my head around its dismissal of part 2 and are the events of H20 mentioned at all? It sounds like more of a convoluted mess that the sequels became.
the editing felt like it was hurting the atmosphere and i felt like there was too much of a feminist agenda and ridiculously bad planing of the females trying to defend themselves/capture/kill Michael. that being said - I adore Jamie Lee and enjoyed the movie because she is in it and is great. Cannot really compare with H20 since I dont remember H20 all that well...BUT I agree that distancing from the franchize made Michael seem less scary and less relevant. It is even pointed out in the movie. Like why are u So scared/obsessed with this one guy who killed at one ocassion...

2 jump scares. But its a great reboot. Bodes well for the Terminator reboot. Getting the original talent back again before and behind the camera.

Michael getting creative I am different from both of you guys. I liked the first third and last third, and really didn't like the middle. The deaths you mention are part of it. Michael stomping heads like they're made out of cake is very un-Halloween.

Holding grudges is RZ Michael's bag. The doctor killed the cop. Michael killed the doctor No grudge. The doctor made himself a target.
