HirundoRustica – I first met Hirundo on the board for the TV series Supernatural at old IMDB. We bonded over having lots of the same opinions about things and she has helped me out more than I can ever say. I owe her so much. We have a lot of favourite actors/actresses/movies/shows in common, she’s always there to lend me a helping hand/offer advice, and we have the same sense of humour. I doubt I’d still be posting if I didn't have her as a friend. Hirundo is the one person I talk to on the internet who I trust the most. She’s my best friend. And despite the fact that I helped her find her first avatar of Hook from Once Upon A Time...I love the fact that her new one is of Dan Stevens with what looks like Mufasa on his head. @deblovesbeccy – Deb was someone who I only started getting to know in the final weeks/days of the old IMDB. I discovered she was a fellow Aussie fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and we got to chatting via PM. She’s continued being a great friend to me since we made the transition to here. Her knowledge of comic books/comic book movies and TV shows seems unparalleled. She has a vast knowledge of other things too that I can never even hope to come close to. She’s exceedingly friendly, understanding, patient with me when it comes to my rather delayed replies and is someone I can talk to about things that I can’t really talk to about with anyone else. She’s a great friend. And, as mentioned elsewhere, her avatars are always gorgeous. Sulla – Yes, we *do* share similar tastes in women/actresses. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Sulla is someone who I think I first got to know via the Music General board (my memory’s not so great nowadays, so it’s a bit of a struggle for me to remember those early days of visiting IMDB 2). We had some similar tastes in music and he introduced me to quite a few songs I’d never heard before, but which I discovered that I really liked. He’s someone who posts well-thought-out posts, always seems civil, and who liked my drawing of Olivia Wilde that I sent him via PM after discovering he too was a fan of her. He’s been polite/courteous, PM’d me when the occasion called for it and his was one of the first avatars I took notice of on here, as I loved the fact that it looked like a well-read cat-man (and reminded me of Beast from the X-Men cartoon series) - not to be confused with the actual Catman, which brings me to... Catman – Firstly, his love of all things cat-related is something that I admire. Back in my school years, I was obsessed with cats and I think we would’ve gotten along swimmingly back then. That’s not to say we don’t get along now, though. I discovered he’s a fan of Red Dwarf and, naturally, likes the character of Cat (who I too am a fan of). I’ve also learned he’s not a fan of lagomorphs and we do have a few things in common that we like. I also will always remember that he actually said “My old, dead thread” instead of referring to himself in the usual third person one time when I bumped an old thread of his by posting in it. He was very nice and replied to my PM, asking whether I’d done something wrong by bumping his old thread. He’s certainly a unique poster – and I mean that in the best possible way. I always appreciate people who love animals. He’s someone else whose avatars change from time to time, but I always enjoy them. mszanadu – I personally believe mszanadu is the nicest person I’ve met on IMDB 2. She’s always so friendly and has been kind enough to respond to my posts/threads/PMs. She always thanks everyone for their replies to her own threads and brings people together via her quizzes that she posts. She is someone who I immediately knew I could PM without fearing I'd get any sort of negative reply, as she just exuded a warm, welcoming vibe. I wish I could be as kind as she is. I just can't say enough good things about her. To those I haven’t mentioned above^, and who were possibly expecting to get a mention, please don’t feel disappointed/left out. Since we were limited to mentioning only five people per post, I still have more nice things to say about other people – which I will get to as soon as I next have the chance.

someone here. I feel like anywhere u look someone is arguing, hating on something, pointing out something bad. How about NO? Limit each post to max 5 people. You can always add posts when you think of new nice thing to say or someone else you want to point out. I know I will. I believe there is something nice to say about almost anyone if you really try. 1. I like Catman for his love of cats and for how respectfully and kindly he talks about Catwoman 2. I like lenlenlen1 an BATouttaheck for their sense of humor 3. I like Toasted Cheese and dirtypillows for their opennes and eloquancy Wait, are you saying I'm not eloquent and don't care about Catwoman?

HirundoRustica - I saw that she and Chalice are friends, so I figured she must be cool, too. She watches a lot of films I've never heard about and has influenced me to add some to my Netfllix queue. I'm always glad to see posters here who are not in the US or UK. @deblovesbeccy - does anyone not like Deb? She's good-natured and has quite a range in musical taste. The pics she posts of beautiful women don't hurt, either. Nalkarj - always civil and polite. He also strikes me as among the more educated people on the site. BATouttaheck - it's uncanny how he posts comments that I was thinking. He probably types a lot faster than I do. I like his sense of humor, too. Admin - John gets a lot of criticism for his job, but I think he's a pretty good administrator. And we have some favorite bands in common. Nora - please forgive me for breaking your rule, but you get points for this thread alone because it made me realize there are more good people here than I thought.

As corny as it may sound, this thread warms my heart. I think its kinda hard to focus on something good when there is so much hate/tragedies/stress outpouring from the media or on-line in general. I was once getting so overwhelmed with the horror/tragedy/danger chasers/pushers from the media (both left and right) that I started to follow the good news network, only to soon find out they simply dont have enough good news for me to become their regular reader. How sad is that? good things just dont sell. I really think the negativity we all face on line makes some pretty bad damage to society overall. I cannot even IMAGINE what it must be like to be a teenager these days. I would dread it, honestly. The movie Tomorrowland (however flawed) said it well. People get somewhat addicted to horror/tragedy/stress/negativity for some obscure reason, to the point of failing to see the danger of it or being able to act any other way. I did some digging around on the actual dangers of this, and discovered this interesting project www.onebillionhappy.org - it stresses how important it is people make themselves happy and act that way. The A.I. learns from us every day, and we really should project more good onto the world (both online and offline). If this thread in any way brightened someones day, I am one of the (hopefully soon) one billion happy people in the world. At least for today :-)
And one tip for a very interesting movie that touches on this A LITTLE BIT: The Oath by Ike Barinholtz. Just saw it today and was really entertained while also stimulated intelectually. The trailer doesnt do it justice. Believe me.

Thank you so very much, Sulla. Good God, I really don’t deserve that (or the other compliments), but thank you so much. Gosh, now I feel like I should write—but I’ve really had great interactions with so many people here, including everyone who’s posted here so far. Thank you, everybody. Thank you so much.

I like: Nora for her concise, clear, level headed, and friendly style, and for starting this thread. Nalkarj for him being an old soul, and a friendly gregarious one at that. @marilynluvstigger for being so caring and open. lenlenlen1 for keeping the same avatar so long that I know who he is, and keeping humor in some pretty heated threads, lol even if it's heated humor. Catman for just consistently being Catman, and that's a great thing. And I like Vicki, and she likes me back! And she showed me her boobies and I like them too! I haven't been back on this forum for very long, and I didn't stroll far from other boards here. You all seem great.

Nora For starting this thread and for her seemingly un-limited positivity that she spreads like a warm blanket on a chilly day. She somehow manages to see the good in even the worst of us. I was lucky enough to see her briefly flash her "real self" avatar ... such a cutie !
for the others.... Thanks for the unexpected and kind comments and backatcha ! Buddy ![](https://s26.postimg.cc/3kjhukbkp/love10.gif) ![](https://s26.postimg.cc/72vhqycgp/noir.gif) Sulla said I post what he is thinking but, this time it was his turn "It made me realize there are more good people here than I thought."

..... Nora - A demanding and strict mistress, who insists on complete and utter obedience from her slaves and underlings. If I don't say nice things, she might beat me... again! ![:'(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cry.png) That is part of the reason I like her too. It is a kinky and enjoyable experience. Mistress Nora rules with an iron fist and a cat o' nine tails whip... Mistress Nora is the mistress to end all mistresses. As long as I get to go first, we shouldn't have much discourse. 😅 Yes, we should limit the intercourse between us so we may both focus on other issues.

and that marilyn is purrrrrrdy cool too ! She probably doesn't remember, but, she was one of the first to respond to me when I was a newbie on this forum and made me feel that the apparent invisibility cloak I was wearing was just in my imagination.

Admin – I’ve said this before, but it bears repeating: Thank you so much, Admin, for giving those of us from IMDB who wanted to keep in touch a place to continue our discussions about anything/everything. It’s much-appreciated. And, on a personal note, thank you for being so patient/understanding with me when it comes to my questions/PM’s. I certainly wouldn’t feel as comfortable PMing the Admin of this place if you didn’t seem so approachable, but you are approachable and I’m forever grateful for that. Nalkarj – I personally *do* think you deserve all the kind words that have been said about you. I echo Sulla’s sentiments, and just wanted to add that I really appreciated your ‘Plot It Yourself’ thread and the other threads you’ve started which are intended to get ideas/creativity flowing between posters – I only wish I could contribute more (as I really liked an idea you had in regards to my post in your ‘Making Your Own TV Series’ thread). We like some of the same movies/share some of the same opinions about things and I think you have so many great ideas/so much creativity that I'm afraid that I just simply can't keep up with you in that department. I wish I could, though. hardball – I only started really communicating with you in the last couple of months, but before that I saw your posts and was in agreement with quite a lot of them (which led to me sending you my first PM in regards to the film The Ninth Gate – which we’re both fond of). I like a lot of the things you post and you’ve been kind enough to like posts of mine too, which I always appreciate. I also really like your avatar (despite not having watched that show myself). ghostintheshell – We’re both fans of Elizabeth Olsen (I like your new avatar you got of her) and I seem to recall when it’s come to threads asking us about actors/movies/shows we don’t like, you’re one of the few who has seemed to agree with me in regards to some which I’ve posted. While I find there’s quite a few people who like stuff that I like, it’s sometimes harder to find those who dislike the same stuff as me – but I think you have, at least in some cases (again, my memory’s not great, so if I’m misremembering...my apologies). You also post thoughts/pics/GIFs that I agree with a lot of the time. petrolino – I remember when you started a thread for the 1977 movie The Uncanny - that was when I first knew that you were someone I’d most likely get along with, as I too appreciate that movie (it’s all about cats!). There’s been other movies we’ve both liked too, I appreciate your feedback/contributions towards threads that I've started and I really liked the fact that you were willing to give the TV series Orphan Black a go after my recommendation of it. I hope you enjoy it. Again, anyone who I haven’t mentioned who I probably should have...please know that I haven’t forgotten you and will get to you as soon as I have the chance.

Chalice_Of_Evil petrolino - that's the name I was trying to remember. He writes those informative essays on Hollywood stars complete with photos and interview excerpts. He apparently has quite an extensive knowledge of that subject. He gets extra points with me for the profile quote from Kurt Vonnegut and his sigline quote from John Irving, two of my favorite authors.

Chalice_Of_Evil and HirundoRustica It's nice to see that you are still playing that movie trivia game I started over a year ago. Your ability to find screenshots never ceases to amaze me. It's fun peeking in to see what you have come up with.

Chalice_Of_Evil and HirundoRustica It's nice to see that you are still playing that movie trivia game I started over a year ago. Your ability to find screenshots never ceases to amaze me. It's fun peeking in to see what you have come up with. Apologies for not mentioning you before now, BATouttaheck, but I've only had short periods of time to post in this thread (I've been posting whenever I've had a spare moment - which isn't very often or for too long) and I knew that I had quite a bit to say in regards to you, so I wanted to take the proper time and not rush things. Firstly, I wanted to say thank you for starting the screenshot game. I hadn't participated in any games on here really, then I saw your one and, being someone who likes pictures, I thought it was just the game for me. I still remember my first picture I posted in the thread/first request I made. Without checking, I can say with all certainty that the first picture I posted was from the fourth Harry Potter movie (after someone had requested dancing at a ball or something similar - but specified that it not be a prom) and I requested a screenshot of a female member of the Fae folk (someone replied with a lovely picture of Michelle Pfeiffer from the 1999 film A Midnight Summer's Dream - and that's what got me hooked on playing the game, as I realised I could discover pictures/movies I'd never seen/heard of before). I've enjoyed participating in that thread and was actually worried that I'd almost 'killed' the thread by posting in it so often. I didn't know that you still checked in on it, but that's nice to hear. You're one of the first people I can remember who 'tagged' me (and who I 'tagged' back - as I was unsure if it was alright to do so without checking with the other person first) and you also encouraged me to start a thread on the Classic Film board - which has led to me starting numerous threads there (to which you usually reply - and I appreciate all the replies to my threads there, including yours). We like some of the same movies/shows and both are fans of Audrey Hepburn - though, as Catman said in his 'old, dead thread' (and he probably hates me bringing up the subject of this thread again...sorry, Catman): 'Then again, who doesn't like Audrey Hepburn?'. I know I might not always get to replying to all of yours threads, but I do try to. I enjoy them. Thanks for encouraging me on the Classic Film board. As I said in the 'Appreciation' thread there, I think it's the nicest board on here that I've visited. And lastly, because I haven't remembered to say it before now...I really like your new wolf avatar. I think it's great. anthonyrocks - I think it's awesome that you enjoy posting pictures/GIFs of actors/actresses/etc that you are a fan of and I've enjoyed posting pictures/GIFs of people/movies/shows I'm a fan of in your threads too. We seem to like quite a lot of the same movies/actresses. Thanks especially for starting the 'Post a GIF from the last movie that you watched’ thread and your A-Z threads (most recently the TV show one). You always seem civil, which is much-appreciated. Thanks for being someone else who enjoys posting images as much as I do. FridayOnElmStreet - I admire your ability to post gruesome shots from movies and such without flinching. I wish I had built up as much of a tolerance for all things gory as you. I certainly don't shy away from all blood/violence in films and TV shows...but there are certainly limits to what I can stand looking at. Thanks for also liking some posts of mine, as it's been interesting to see what things we have in common that we like. Your love of horror movies is something I also think is great. loofapotato - Thank you for helping to keep mine and Hirundo's threads (where we ask for people's favourite sexy cops, Kings/Queens/Princes/Princes, etc) alive. You and other posters have posted in these threads despite them having been pushed back many pages previously, and I for one am grateful for that. I also appreciate the fact that, like me, you enjoy posting multiple pictures of your favourites. It's most welcome. marth - I've liked quite a lot of the things you've posted and I appreciate finding someone who posts things I like and can voice similar opinions to mine...but in a much better way than I could. Thanks also for being so nice/understanding when I first sent you a PM. I enjoys your posts and the fact that we like a fair amount of the same things. Chalice_Of_Evil
You are one of the nicest and most helpful members on this board. I also think you are one of the most underrated 'cause you put a lot of time and effort into your posts and are very intelligent. I always enjoy talking to you and seeing your posts and I consider you a good friend.
Thank you for your kind words, DebLovesBeccy. I think it's a testament to just how awesome a person you are - the fact that so many people have nice things to say about you (not just in this thread, but other ones as well). This place certainly wouldn't be the same without you. Thanks for being such a good friend and such an awesome person.
