The closest one that I have seen is "THE GHOST AND THE DARKNESS" but that was 2 Lions.

I thought Idris Elba was badass as Shere Khan in the recent Jungle Book adaptation!
Seriously though, while there's been some Tiger-centered horror films from Asia (mainly India and East Asia), we do need some good ones set in the wilds of Asia. I think a British colonial-era period piece like The Ghost and the Darkness, but set in India could be cool.

I remember finding this movie numerous times on HBO as a kid back in the 80s. Used to scare the crap out of me.

Is there anyone in particular you'd like to see attacked by tigers?

An autobiographical adventure film about Jim Corbett would be fascinating. He specialized in hunting man eating tigers and leopards. These were beasts that killed hundreds of people.

I've seen a low budget saber tooth tiger movie.
I think the only big-budget animal attack movies that will come out these days will be if they're Giant or really intelligent. So a big-budget saber tooth tiger movie would probably be most likely
Lake placid big budget giant crocodile movie Anaconda big budget giant snake movie Meg and so on

Darren Aronofsky & Brad Pitt were actually supposed to make a film about a tiger killing people (back in 2010 based on the book The Tiger) but they went on to different projects . I'd still like to see Aronofsky & Pitt get together to make this film cause with cgi today , it could easily be done (for example, look at the cgi bear in the Revenant . Just stunning!) collider.com/brad-pitt-darren-aronofsky-the-tiger/"Brad Pitt and director Darren Aronofsky will try again to make a film together with the adventure thriller The Tiger. The project is based on an upcoming nonfiction book by John Vaillant, and according to Variety, “takes place on the Siberian plain, where human development is encroaching on the tigers’ habitat — and one tiger turns on the intruders. With townspeople being tracked and hunted with an almost supernatural power, a conservationist game warden must face down the tiger. It is a fight that only one of them can win.”

But, I'd rather they use a real tiger in some shots to make it look more authentic. Anybody remember the 1997 outdoors thriller, The Edge? It had Anthony Hopkins and Alec Baldwin stranded in the Alaskan wilderness while being chased by a bloodthirsty Kodiak Bear. They used a real bear (noted bear actor, Bart the Bear) and mixed in shots of him with an animatronic bear. If they made a tiger attack movie, they should do something similar.

Maneater (2007) with Gary Busey, even! I didn't see all of it but it seemed low-budget and ordinary.
