I wanted to like it and it did contain some interesting concepts, but ultimately found it too grim and bleak. Overall, it just didn't appeal to me that much. Fair enough. I respect your opinion.

Duncan Jones (who I still believe in ) Fingers crossed for Jones' Rogue Trooper adaptation? Fingers definitely crossed for that project (although I don't know much about the subject matter regarding it haha but it still sounds interesting) . He also mentioned in an interview awhile back that he wants to make a western (which imo would be really cool & a change of pace from his sci fi outings ) .

Duncan Jones (who I still believe in ) You guys didn't like SOURCE CODE? ELYSIUM was considered disappointingly inferior to DISTRICT 9 but not really bad. CHAPPIE has been his only bad movie so far. Josh Trank from "Chronicle" to Fantastic Fail. I think we should wait until he makes a 3rd movie before judging. If anything, he went uphill. At first, at least. Hell... I'll throw it out there.... George Lucas
C'mon.... You guys were all thinkin' it. I wouldn't say it happened quickly. When he started, each of his movies was more successful that the one before and, 20 years later, he went downhill.

You guys didn't like SOURCE CODE? Oh, I love Source Code. I just think Warcraft and Mute don't live up to the brilliance of his first two films. He's bound to make a comeback sooner or later. I think we should wait until he makes a 3rd movie before judging. Fonzo looks interesting, but the downturn in cinematic quality from Chronicle to Fantastic Four is astounding. Every director has at least one bad film, but for now, his career has taken a downward turn. If anything, he went uphill. At first, at least. Yeah, Thank You for Not Smoking, Juno, and Up in the Air were really good and were notable award contenders. While his career hasn't declined dramatically like Michael Cimino, I just think his career should be a lot bigger than it is now. That said, The Front Runner does look interesting.

C'mon.... You guys were all thinkin' it. frankly, what I was thinking was that you smelled too much of your farts. I consider Sith as his masterpiece, and that was his last film directed.

If you really consider RoS a masterpiece, then you really need to watch more films. maybe, but not your MCU penis, turd & nipples movies thank you. I prefer the films about the fall of democracy, the rise of demagogues and the corruption of a people over dance offs or "hide teh zucchini" dialogue. Breaking it down to space operas this means not:
Hahahah, I have famously huge turds. or, dance of, bro me and you
but rather dialogue like this
or tone-poems like this thus, my friendly advise to you:

I was hoping Reitman would be directing more high-profile Hollywood dramas. He hasn't made a lot of those, but I think that he wants it that way. That it's not the result of not receiving offers (which is the case with a lot of the other directors mentioned in this thread so far).
