It's kind of funny how Marvel Studios is scoring big with every character they have, while WB is still hesistant to make a movie about a character that is arguably more popular and well known than almost every character in the MCU.
Can you name a more popular comic book character than The Flash without his/her own movie?

I would say so yes. The only one that I would even bring up as a possibility, and I don't know if it would even count but maybe Robin?

It's extremely hard to think of someone else;maybe the Teen Titans but they just had that cartoon movie. Especially given how popular the CW show is. It's also done all the heavy lifting for the hypothetical movie by introducing all the weird comic book mumbo jumbo over the course of several seasons to who knows how many millions of viewers. They could just name drop the existence of the Speed Force in the movie's script and people will get it w/o being spoonfed.

What WB needs is...

'Witchblade' by far. Over 100 million comic book sales worldwide (more than 'The Flash' and more than 75 percent of the major superheroes currently under DC and Marvel). Witchblade not only spawned its very own universe with many spinoffs like The Darkness, Fathom, Aphrodite IX, The Magdalena, the Angelus, The Necromancer, Artifacts, IXth Generation etc it made comic book history and kicked down the doors for many female lead comic book series that came after it. Stan Lee called it the greatest comic book series he didn't write and the only reason the 'Witchblade' movie with Angelina Jolie didn't go through before was 'cause of sexism in Hollywood and the fact Image Comics/ Top Cow isn't owned by a multi billion dollar corporation like DC and Marvel are owned by Time Warner and Disney who can make movie adaptions of all their characters including all the lesser and lowest selling ones regardless of how successful they are. The majority of people I know who read comic books read 'Witchblade' and most believe a 'Witchblade' could be more successful than a lot of the DCEU and MCU movies.

Honestly I'm surprised that they didn't make one.
I mean they made a fucking Suicide Squad film before Flash, Aquaman, Wonder Woman or even another attempt at a Green Lantern.

likely the thinking is that with the popular Flash TV show going on endlessly, it would create brand confusion.
Similar with Arrow and Supergirl characters. So, they test the waters by keeping them on support in the movies.
Only plausible reason as to why there is a Shazam, Aqua (previously most ridiculed character ever), SS etc.

And if so, it's a ludicrous decision to keep such a popular character off the big screen. They're losing out on a guaranteed blockbuster franchise. As for the tv show: Never seen it. But they should cancel it immediately and GIVE FLASH THE BIG SCREEN ADAPTATION!!!!&!!!!

Just the right script, at the right time and it could be great. jeez, don't say that aloud. The Arrowverse fans are relentless. If they are not destroyed it will be civil war without end.
