Well, it's that time of year again. This Friday (10/26/2018) marks the annual Hallmark Channel Christmas vomit-fest! In fact, Hallmark started plugging it in July.
I won't say anything that I didn't say on the first thread--providing it's still here and hasn't been "moved" by IMDb.
I'll just say that I'm grateful that other networks and businesses have taken the hint and not bombarded us with Christmas messages months too early.
IMHO, Hallmark should establish a separate network just for its corny movies!

I'm really glad I don't have cable anymore. I pulled the plug years ago.

I watch hallmark at night when I can’t sleep.the run of Murder She Wrote is gentle, no surprises and usually allows me to drift off. When it’s replaced by cheesy Christmas films ...ugh. And what I object to is how cheesy they are. I can watch Muracle on 34. Th street any old time .
But it forced me to dig up some old 8 hour tapes, dvds of Murder she wrote, Sherlock Holmes movies, things that will let me doze.

I'm really glad I don't have cable anymore. I pulled the plug years ago. Trouble with that is almost all network shows stink big time! And there are areas where there is lousy reception without cable. For example, where I live--the Upper West Side of Manhattan.

One thing I do like about the Hallmark Channel--NO DAMNED POLITICAL ADS! Nowadays, all NJ-based channels, such as ABC and MeTV have been bombarded with ads for local elections, and I'm sick of them! If for no other reason, I'll be glad when this election is over so that would be the end of those accursed commercials.
BTW, I really like the Halloween decor currently in some store windows in my neighborhood.

I thought Hallmark and Hallmark Hall of Fame stood for high quility entertainment, but reading here it seems that things have changed.

I thought Hallmark and Hallmark Hall of Fame stood for high quility entertainment, but reading here it seems that things have changed. They have, tele. Back in my salad days, HALLMARK HALL OF FAME aired well-produced and well-acted plays featuring some top stars. However, since the Hallmark Channel was created, more and more movies had to be made, with a smaller budget and forgettable actors. I used to call these films "has-been heaven" because many of them had actors well past their prime who couldn't get roles anywhere else. Nowadays, even those actors have been shunned for no-talent poseurs. These movies are yawn-inducing rom-coms or rom-drams, and the holiday season is infested with them, almost like a plague of cockroaches. I have to wonder: does anyone actually watch them? And does anyone actually enjoy them? I'd be interested to know.

Y'know, I've been looking for #1, but I can't find it. I wonder if IMDb deleted the whole thread.
