Nearing the half-way point of the season, who are the two teams making it there now, given what we've seen so far ?? SAVE FERRIS

True Story: Before the Chiefs lost a game, I looked at the TV and thought "that's pretty cool, that the two best teams in the NFL are both in Missouri"

I think it's pretty clear at this point that the best team in the NFL is currently the Rams. However now that the undefeated season is starting to get talked about watch it jinx them. However going by right now at this very moment I'd say Rams vs Patriots. Which I will not bother watching.
I want to say the Chiefs or hell, anyone for that matter other than the Patriots. However time and time again that bites me in the ass. While I don't think this Patriots team is anything special (I rarely ever do) they'll somehow pull shit out of their ass in the playoffs and polish it into another AFC Championship.

If the playoffs started today
6 Green Bay @ 3 Washington 5 Carolina @ 4 Minnesota
Byes: 2 New Orleans, 1 LA Rams
-------------------------------
6 Cincinnati @ 3 Pittsburgh 5 LA Chargers @ 4 Houston
Byes: 2 New England, 1 Kansas City

I picked Rams over Chargers this summer. I'm not one to change my mind if it's still valid.
Patriots are using a bit of smoke & mirrors, I think they have Andy Reid's number no matter who's on the field. Chargers feel dangerous to me. Mahommes might get off track with 1.5 poor drives in a playoff game against legit opposition.
Saints don't scare me.

Right now ... at this moment in time?
The best team in the AFC is currently the Patriots ... and baring injury to key players, we’re looking at a 4th trip to the SB in the last 5 years.
NFC is the Rams ... at the moment. I suspect both the Rams and Saints are going to do a crash and burn before the season is over and limp into the playoffs. The NFC champ will be someone currently in the middle of the pack.

I said Eagles/Patriots Part III just because we haven't had a repeat back to back Super Bowl since the Cowboys/Bills and that was the only time it happened. We are overdue and everybody had a boner for Philly in the off season. It seems more often than not people always go for the #1 and #2 seed teams and things more often than not don't pan out that way. I expect one team to lay an egg in the playoffs and just under perform.
As of right now. The Redskins would host the Panthers and probably get stomped. Then the Vikings would be playing at the Bears and they just love letting people down. Rams and Saints beat up the Panthers and Bears and then the Saints knock off the Rams to piss off a bunch of people on the forum.
The AFC looks like the same old shit! Chiefs/Patriots/Bengals/Chargers/Steelers/Texans. Bengals get trolled in Pittsburgh because that is their playoff legacy these days. Chargers go into Houston and expose the Texans as a big dog in a weak division and knock them off. Patriots do their usual by the book stuff and give Rivers another playoff defeat and Chiefs/Steelers might be the most exciting game of the bunch. It seems almost impossible for the Chiefs to win post season let alone going to the Super Bowl. They always hit that brick wall at 200 MPH after looking good all season. Steelers go to New England in their 615th playoff meeting and lose and it's Saints/Patriots as ESPN take turns jerking each other off over the Brees Vs Brady in the Super Bowl.
So i'm thinking Saints/Eagles Vs Patriots. Right now more Saints because after their colossal fuck up in Minnesota last season, they have a grim resolve to get back and play harder.
