I was wondering when Friday the 13th would get a reboot. The one from 2009 didn't seem to stick. So here we go...

If my read on Lebron is correct, Jason will be in inner-city wronged by "the man" completely justified his killings.

I liked the 2009 version, it wasn't ideal, but not bad. Seemed more like another sequel than a reboot though, in some ways. I just want the next version to not suck and succeed.

It wasn't bad...but let's face it, it was just more of the same old same old. They didn't offer too much new to it. I think that's why Halloween 2018 is so fresh right now...they basically wiped the slate clean and started over. It has a fresher take on it.

It could be good depending on who they get to write and direct it. Lebron will likely play on the business end and not so much on the creative end. I would love to see a retro slasher film set in the 80's. With the right people I think they could make this a hit.

God damn it, I don't care who produces it but I want my Camp Crystal Lake in the winter Jason movie already!

Oh good, the last one did so well.
And they did do something different in 2009, they made Jason keep his victims chained up, right? Awful.

Saying that THIS guy producing it is weird is the understatement of the decade.

There was plans for a Jason film in the early 90s where he was dealing with gang bangers in East LA. Maybe they are thinking about that.
If not, something with Trump perhaps.

Enough already! let this franchise rest and peace and start coming up with new franchises and new horror icons.

Sean Cunningham and Steve Miner go back a long way with Wes Craven. If Lebron can match the BB basketball kill from 'Deadly Friend' (1986), he has a winner.
