I would love it if they did this. His films all have a campy quality to them that Superman desperately needs.

It's a wonder that WB did not try to capitalize on his Spider-Man trilogy's success as a model for a Superman reboot by like 2005 or 2007 instead of Singer's finished product. Instead of just mining the Richard Donner films that saw better days decades prior, it could have had that same high energetic style and theatricality. And I wouldn't had cast Brandon Routh's boring ass either. Somebody like James Marsden or Jim Caveziel perhaps. Every time I rewatch Superman Returns I'm looking at him and Parker Posey thinking "why the hell aren't they Superman and Lois Lane?!?!?"

Superman doesn't need to be camp. We have the Richard Lester films for that. A Superman film needs to be optimistic in mood and skillfully balance the comedy and dark dramatic elements.

I know I’ve said this a million times before, but there already was a MOS 2. That’s what BvS was.

I think Brandon Routh had potential to be a great Superman, but I agree with everything else.

I still think Brad Bird is the right person to direct any new Superman film.

That's because that's where the story led to. In hindsight, Man of Steel is not a Superman movie, but a DC Universe movie. At the time, if they thought of it as a DC Universe movie, some of what BvS is should have been in MoS. There should have been other superheroes in it to show their views on this new alien arrival saving people along with how normal people viewed him.

I still think Brad Bird is the right person to direct any new Superman film. Great choice! Can't take credit for thinking of it, but ever since I heard it it's so clearly the right choice...
