William Henry Harrisons life would be an ironic dark comedy as well.

I'm surprised Paul Greengrass hasn't made a movie about Waco 1993 yet.

As far as US presidents go, a wild, historically-inaccurate movie about Andrew Jackson would be fun.

Not particularly, at least nothing from the past few decades. My reflexive propaganda detector goes off. Like the World Trade Center movies. Zero Dark Thirty (for me) is an even better example. I don't intend to watch that for a number of years, if ever. Is it fair to the actors/crew involved? Maybe not entirely, but such is my skepticism of its subject material. Considering how recent its events were before it made its way into a film, Zero Dark Thirty was a red flag on arrival.

The heavily debated Business Plot of 1933.
The Burr conspiracy (maybe adapt Vidal's book?)

The Cuban Missile Crisis. Not focused on the leaders, particularly Kennedy (because "JFK" did that well enough"). Rather, I'd have it examine the paranoia of the Cold War and the nuclear threat. Maybe the story of some random family/dude/small business/etc, with the extremely tense vibe of the situation looming in the background.
Preferably set in Miami.

Also, though it isn't an exact event, I'd love to watch an Andrew Jackson biopic. Seems like it could be something like "There Will Never Be Blood" meets "J. Edgar." He was no saint, but he was certainly an interesting guy.

Napoleon on St. Helena. Louis Marchand, most trusted valet to Napoleon, published a memoir of the last years of Napoleon on St. Helena. I watched a documentary, very interesting, with rumours of poisoning, maybe the English, maybe the French... everybody hated him.

As far as US presidents go, a wild, historically-inaccurate movie about Andrew Jackson would be fun. How wild and historically inaccurate? Like exaggerating a few situations, or full blown Andrew Jackson: Vampire Hunter type stuff? Honestly I could go for either, but it has to be more fun than the Lincoln vampire movie was.

A story I recall only from Stephen Ambrose's Undaunted Courage.
Lewis and Clark had to cross what was then Spanish territory. Jefferson asked permission, the Spanish authorities said "absolutely not" and he launched the expedition anyway.
The Spanish deployed three army troups to find the expedition and turn them back or arrest them. None were ever heard of again.
I'd like to know what happened to them. I suppose it is a topic for fiction now.
