Not talking about Pete Best here.
My picks for the best songs from the best groups and soloists.
Obviously, Beatles and Stones have way too many to choose from to even pick a tie. The highest I'll go is a three way tie.
My picks:
Lennon outside of the Beatles:
Number Nine Dream
Instant Karma
Oh Yoko
McCartney outside of the Beatles:
Nineteen Hundred and Eighty Five
Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey
My Love (both he and John are tough to nail down just three from)
Harrison outside the Beatles:
Give Me Love, but honestly his best stuff is with the Beatles, so this one has an * assigned to it.
Ringo:
It Don't Come Easy, an easy pick
Elton John:
Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
Rocket Man
Crocodile Rock
Pink Floyd:
Us and Them (lots of classics, but this is the stick out)
Simon and Garfunkel: I Am a Rock
